25 years on, from from the iconic original. When a movie is so big considered one of the masterpieces of cinema. So much time has passed. Is it a mistake to make a sequel as it will never live up to the original and this is probably true and hasn't been changed with the release of this film .
I had low expectations and where this is not the original, it is a great film In its own right paying great homage to the origins in many ways, while at the same time finding its own path into the future with beautiful links to its original movie.
Denzel Washington brings all his skills and powers to elevate the film. Pedro Pascal produces a good performance. Paul Mescal was good not great in an almost unplayable role filling the part previously held by Russell Crowe in undoubtedly crows greatest performance were always going to be big shoes to fill. Joseph Quinn and Fred Heninger. Produce a very interesting weird joker like performance with one looking like a version of a young Robert Downey Jr. And the other one young Joaquin Phoenix made this very interesting. Connie Nielsen returns to her role from the original and producers a solid performance. Looking at all the negative reviews I don't know what these fans were expecting, but the master of the storyboard Ridley Scott produced a story worth telling well toldand the best film I've seen so far this year well done a brave undertaking to return .

The actors are probably let down by the director and the writers. A film that really lacks direction a plot line throughout the movie is non-existent. Instead, it feels like a number of dull scenes all tied together. Tom Hardy and Austin Butler seem very convincing in their parts and have embraced the parts they have to play. Unfortunately, the part they have to play is very cliche and very uninterested in many parts making it hard to stick with it. A very interesting time of change in America and a group of people on the fringes who find camaraderie within the club and upon their bikes they have been many great films about this unfortunately this is not one.
Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx shine in this cat and mouse suspense thriller from director F Gary Gray. No time is wasted in the set up the opening moment are harrowing. Setting up quickly what the film is going to be. Thought this was a very overlooked film 15 years ago, re-watching it today I think it's held up very well with great supporting cast including Colm Meaney Bruce McGill Leslie Bibb and Viola Davis. The pace of the film is set early and it pretty much manages to keep that pacing throughout a slightly underwhelming finale does not take away from a good plot well acted movie definitely worth a look.
