I recently completed my Masters thesis on the topic of Kurt Cobain's death. I was simply prepared to write mostly about how Cobain's death impacted the musical landscape. That was until I visited the website of Tom Grant cobaincase dot com. It had confirmed the lingering doubts I had for many years regarding the cause of Kurt's death.
Grant who was hired by Cobain's wife, Courtney Love days before Kurt died, had a front row perspective as to the happenings surrounding the time and cause of Kurt's passing. He has generously shared decades of his tireless work here in this film in order to dispel all the rumors, gossip and statements made by people with something to gain, or protect.
Grant (and film director, Benjamin Statler) are only interested in bringing to light the facts of this case. Anyone who takes the time to watch Soaked in Bleach will not be able to ignore the obvious conclusion that Kurt Cobain was murdered and now deserves justice.

There is a great benefit to a story being filmed in the original language in which it was written. This is the case with the 1997 version, "The Red and the Black." I always thought it very strange when a film is about a town in France, full of...well French people, the actors in the film are Brits speaking English! But, in the case of the 1993, "The Scarlet and the Black," I make an exception. THIS is the CLASSIC version of Stendahl's story by which all others should be judged. The reason of course is young Ewan McGregor's portrayal of Julian Sorel. McGregor is able to communicate such passionate emotions-all the confusion, stubborn ignorance, fear and love of the young Julian Sorel. McGregor transfixes the viewer with his beautifully emotive eyes and face.
The chemistry between McGregor and Krige is palpable. Even though I knew it wouldn't end well, I was truly routing for these two! It's a story you will want to watch many times over and still find yourself crying at the end.

I actually saw this series before I watched, Long Way Round. I was not disappointed in the least. I was amazed by so many things in this program: the beauty of Africa, the struggles of the people, their openness, the wonderful friendship between Charlie, Ewan and the crew. I loved seeing how completely humble, caring and super funny Charlie and Ewan were especially. What an excellent example of a strong and lasting friendship. I admire their courage and sense of adventure.
I thought Eve, (Ewan's wife) joining them for part of the trip was brilliant! To the nay sayers, I say, look at her courage in learning to ride a bike, her dedication and her obvious love and appreciation for her husband. She was an appreciated addition; being friendly with all, and making an effort to keep herself in the background so as to give Charlie and Ewan their adventure time. Why would anyone complain about a wife wanting to join her husband in an epic adventure? Besides, Eve is truly lovely! I highly recommend BOTH series. It's a wild ride of fun, learning and laughter.
