Normally I don't prefer the up close handheld camera perspective in a movie but in this case, it really enhanced the storytelling for me. Often Royal dramas from that period are standoffish to the point of being too noble and impersonal. With Firebrand I felt as if I was in the midst of the Court during the final period of Henry's reign (as a fly on the wall). It highlighted how Catherine was strong-willed, outspoken, and attractive while surviving by her wits even when most of her family and Court had forsaken her - and sticking to her principles.
A fresh and welcome addition to a famous and oft told period of English history putting central one of the less famous of Henry's wives and the lasting impact she had.

As long as there is not an expectation of feasibility, it's an enjoyable series to watch. The acting and chemistry of the two Smiths' (Glover and Erskine) make up for the unlikeliness of the stories in each episode. I feel the writers could have toned down the wild west gun slinging which would have improved the series without loosing the impact of the storylines and original humor. The settings are akin to James Bond which I guess is pretty much mandatory in a series like this. Some reviewers did not like the frequent slow pace but I like to think it helped build up to the climaxes and gave time to highlight the interactions between the two protagonists.
Missing from this documentary is, after all the interviews with the grieving family and employees: is Carlos Ghosn guilty or not? The family, a few ex employees, and some of the journalists, focus on their view of the harshness of Japanese legal system. But they never really say that Ghosn was innocent of the charges. My takeaway is that he definitely did something wrong and that ego and greed got the better of him.
The producers threw in a few token interviews with Nissan and Japanese government officials but if I did not know better, I'd say this Netflix piece was funded by the "Carlos Ghosn got a raw deal" foundation.
