Almost every aspect of this short film is awesome. However, there are a few aspects which I wish the film did more of.
I felt like it ended too abruptly at the climax and the music, while for the most part was pretty fitting, the beginning music could have fitted the atmosphere better.
However, I don't wait to just trash the film because I think it's a pretty decent film. Both the special effects and the direction of the film was great, and the dark tone was executed well.
I think that the director, James Campbell, has a bright future with moviemaking, and this film shows the start of something special. Plus, I am always open to seeing more Western Horror movies, like that of Bone Tomahawk.

I really disliked this movie. The camp blood franchise has always been diabolical and embarrassing but this one is one a whole new level of cringe. The fact that this managed to raise about $9000 via indiegogo and people actually support it is beyond me. Erica Dyer is very annoying in the film and quite over dramatic as she peaks the sound whenever she opens her mouth. Everybody's death scene looks awkward or unenthusiastic. Characters were instantly forgettable and I can't say for certain this will be a memorable film. Lots of continuity errors, editing mistakes, bad CGI, rubbish character development.
The movie ultimately feels like a proof of concept film that would be shown to investors, and not the actual public. Think if Hatchet had no budget, and the acting wasn't as good. Being someone who was a Polonis fan for over a decade, I can say that this might be his weakest film to date. Overall, it just feels uninspired and boring. The kills, while the gore effects were decent, are just consistently bland, and there was one that felt like he wanted to do the kill in a certain way, but just didn't for whatever reason. And the acting wasn't bad enough to find funny, and the dialog just felt mono throughout the whole film. There were a few funny moments, and I don't regret watching it, but he could do better.
