Naagin has an interesting premise, something we have seen before but it at least offers some promise. However having watched almost all of episodes until now, I realise what a huge mistake I have made. First thing, the plot is so contrived it rarely makes any sense. It is badly written full of plot holes big enough to drive car through and deus ex machinas. The show always promises something controversial yet the writers invent some preposterous nonsense and just forget about it. Plot lines introduced are always forgotten, the characters are so lazy an clichéd and the show is full of sexism. The show has done nothing for us to care about any of the character so it basically leaves you thinking about why do you even care. Only the lead male character is probably what I cared about(the most by the way) 90% of the episodes are filled with exposition about what characters are about to do to the extent that entire episodes have been spent on pure exposition. So people you must not watch this contrived nonsense every Saturday and Sunday and instead do something much better with your time.
Season 7 had not been the best of seasons of Castle with ratings having fallen with quite a few poorly written episodes. However the writers have finally taken the show in an fresh and new direction devoid of clichés which is unusual for a lighthearted procedural like Castle. Though there were a few details overlooked, all in all it was fine episode in which they managed to show how effective a team Castle and Beckett can be really are which was an improvement over the previous rather too Castle centric episodes and they also showed how their relationship has moved forward. Also, the performances of the actors were all quite well done especially that of Stana's. A definite 10/10 after a long while.
This definitely one of the many memorable episodes of Castle. It becomes quite evident by now that both Castle and Beckett are inwardly fighting about their feelings for one another and the jealously factor is quite adorable indeed. The blind date was indeed quite hilarious. And once again Castle impresses once again with the plot twists. The Castle-Beckett duo also manage to do what they do best and keep the audience amused at the same time as there are many comic scenes throughout too like a scene with a tarantula or the usual flirty banter between Castle and Beckett. So if you are a die-hard Castle fan, I believe this episode is also a must watch for you.
