Dark (2017)

Magnificent

I watched all seasons several times (season 3 twice by today - First run was a marathon) and it's incredible. This series has definitely a superb story with insane twists and a good ending (many mistery series lack there) but what I like the most is the journey. It's thrilling to watch it even if you know the ending. It's much more entertaining to see the foreshadows in each episode (comparable to prestige). I can recommend it to everyone who didn't watched it yet. Best series in a decade.

Altered Carbon (2018)

Good start- bad ending

It started very good. A story about a crime which has to be solved, about the ethic questions if it is good or bad to switch the body and live forever and the disgusting result of living to long with to much power.

SPOILER ALERT But then there is a changing in the story and the true enemy shows his face. His sister. It went more and more to the worse with more and more paradox decisions. Here a two points from my side:

• There are many religious people who believe they will suffer in hell if they will be ressurect in another body. They decide to add a code which prohobit the police or someone else to ressurect them.

In the end the goverment adopt a law which allows to ressurect someone to clarify a crime. What is with the believing of the people? The story writer told us his intention in the middle of the season but it suprised me that this is a fact for everyone in the end.

• One of the last words from Kovac to his sister are: We fought against people like you.

Thats reasonable because his sister and other mets went from good to bad to insane. But what was they're solution? To add a code which allows anyone to live for 100 years. In My opinion is this the biggest genucide in history. Nobody can complain. It's decided by one person alone...

So I'm disappointed about the way like they tell us about good and bad in the end. It glorifies Quell or Kovac who are for me neither good ones then the Ortegas or Rei. Okay to be fair to them: they tried to change the system to something better but this makes them only to extremist and not to psychopaths.
