This maybe 'Dark', 'Gory' and 'Brutal' but for me it just lacked 'Fascinating!' Every part of the story seemed to have been hand picked from a 'Guide to Post-Apocalyptic Film Making'.
So it felt really predictable, the acting wasn't great and sets were very standard, low budget CGI (the nuclear clouds)and although he was heavily credited William Bladwin, is not in this movie, repeat NOT in this movie (its a five second sound clip which to be honest may as well have been a voice-a-like).
My highlight was the makeup, which was pretty good actually.
I love B-movies and low budget but this was areal disappointment. Shame too as I was really looking forward to Edward Furlon's return to the big screen!

I went into a cinema without a clue what I was going to watch! For the first ten minutes I was hesitant and didn't know if I would sit through the entire movie. I have no particular love for skating but can relate to that ethos from teenage years.
In the end I stayed and began to enjoy the roller-coaster that this doc takes you on.
The use of well sourced actual footage of their childhood/teenage days up to to the pros and after paints a vivid account and perfectly documented time line of their lives and careers. The added PTC's from Tas Pappas and others add that missing dimension and beautifully tie it all together in a classic doc style.
Utterly compelling and keeps a great level of suspense. Really enjoyed this movie. NOW I like skating!

Hit Me!!!
Jeremy Piven really is impressive in this role, which frankly gained my attention. This really makes the film..... HE IS THE FILM, well almost.
Is It For U?
Hate over glossy hollywood productions? prefer smaller budgets and original acting?
So....
This is PCU, a college film unlike Road Trip or American Pie 1,2,3,126,5002, whatever... Some gloss, great acting(my god it really does make the film!), good setting, good script, no great script!!!
However...
Two points though... the plot is not the most complicated ever.... the characters are sometimes stereotypical and predictable... but thats college movies... how else can it be done..
Trust me.... this made my year! BB
