It's hard enough being the nerdy new guy on campus without also being the new girl on campus, who has fallen for the coolest guy on campus, who is totally obsessed with the most beautiful girl on campus, who is "crushing" on the nerdy new guy on campus. That's just the beginning in this contemporary comedy inspired by Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night." The tagline basically explains what this movie is all about. Amanda Byens stars as Viola. A girl with good looks who is indeed a tomboy, and who loves to play soccer. But when the girls team gets cut off, she decides that she wants to prove that she is good enough. After her brother, Sebastian, played by James Kirk wants to go to London and sing his music, Viola decides to move into his school pretending to be him so she could focus on soccer. So Viola dresses up like her brother and obviously pretends to be him. She later meets her 3 roommates. The three of them think he (she) is loser, but later they soon find out that he can seem pretty cool. One of his (her) roommates is played by Channing Tatum and he plays Duke, the guy who likes Viola but really wants a girl named Olivia and thinks that he can get her if only Sebastian can help him get her. So many things happen in this movie which makes it seem like a "high school comedy" which they really aren't in high school.
I think that Amanda Bynes is very good. This is the kind of comedy she should be doing. She shouldn't be doing movies like "What A Girl Wants." I want to see her do some movies like this because she is really good. I grew up watching the hit TV show, "All That," which aired on Nickelodeon and featured Amanda in it and she always did good. So I feel that she should be doing more comedic roles. She's really good at them.
I felt that this was a funny movie. It may seem predictable because there are so many movies out there in which someone dresses up as the opposite sex and we all know what will happen. There is a girl who falls for a guy who is really a girl. But I liked the way this movie pulled it off. This movie is an underrated movie. I don't why some people missed out on this. It didn't do too well at the box office. A few critics bought it and liked it. I have to agree with them. This was a good movie. So this is why I am recommending it. I give it a 7.5/10.

The Bakers are back! Only this time, they're going head-to-head against another clan in the ultimate inter-family battle. Bigger movie, more laughs, loaded with action and lots of heart,re the hallmarks of the Baker's new adventure. Now the same family members are back and if they weren't back, this movie wouldn't have been the same. Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt, Hilary Duff, Piper Perabo and Tom Welling, along with the rest of the kids, are back for this hilarious sequel which I enjoyed. Tom (Martin)and his wife Kate (Hunt) decide that it's time to spend "quality time" as a family when they get good memories of when they were at a local lake. The family agrees and they all rent their "house" that they'd always been going to ever since they began going there. But as soon as they get there, Tom discovers that his arch-nemesis,Jimmy Murtaugh (Eugene Levy) is camping at the same lake with his family of 8 children and his newly bride,Sarina Murtaugh played by the gorgeous Carmen Elektra. Jimmy has always been jealous of Tom. Tom had everything, he had more children than him and he was a famous football coach. These two families try to make each other jealous of one another and they even compete in a family event.
I thought that this movie wasn't as good as the first Cheaper by the Dozen which opened on 2003. The first one, in my opinion is one of my favorite movies. I'll watch it whenever it's on or if I have the chance. I did like the sequel but not as much as I did the first. In my opinion this movie maybe funnier than the original. I was laughing at many scenes in this movie, and the first was a great family comedy but the sequel is the perfect family comedy of the holiday season 2005. This isn't a movie for only kids under the age of 12, anyone cans see this movie, it doesn't matter how old you are and that you only have to see movies that match your age. Anyone can see this movie, it is a great family film.
This movie couldn't have been the same if the children weren't the same as in the first. Like if the producers had to replace someone because the other character couldn't make it, the movie wouldn't be the same. Some of the character didn't have a bigger role than they did in the first and some of the character had bigger roles in this movie. One person I have to say is Sarah, who is played by Alyson Stoner. She was the main kid in the Baker family, which I thought was pretty cool.
So as I said, this is the perfect family comedy of the holiday season of 2005. Everyone can enjoy this movie if they just let it go on. Just watch the movie and you will enjoy this and it's a great way to bring laughs into the house. I give this a 7.5/10.

A young boy named Damien, the son of an American diplomat and his wife, lives unaware he is destined to become the Anti-Christ - until terrifying events reveal the terrifying truth. It stars Julia Stiles and Liev Schreiber as the parents for this disturbing child. This disturbing child is played by Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick, who is brand new in the movie industry. It basically starts off with Katharine (Stiles) in the hospital bed and Robert (Schreiber) getting the most horrifying news anyone can hear: his newborn baby just passed. For the sake of his wife, a priest introduces him to a baby and Katharine will never know if that is her baby or not. Robert is basically the only one who knows about this and doesn't want to say anything about it. Five years go on by and this is when Damien starts acting like a different kid and this is when Katharine feels like Damien isn't her child. She begins to have nightmares about him.
The famous scene is of course in this movie when Damien knocks his mother off the i don't know, 3rd floor? I didn't see the original movie but everyone saw the famous scene. In the original, Damien was riding this small Fisher Price bike and knocks his mother off. In this movie, it's more updated, he knocks her over with a Scooter which is more powerful to knock her over.
I think the cast was good. There were some good performances and this movie makes you hate many people and feel sorry for some. Julia Stiles gave a good performance. The young boy who played Damien only said about 10 words in this movie. I think that is a good idea. He needs to be scary and frightening and making him talk would kill that. So I thought that was a good idea not to make him talk.
So The Omen is a fun ride that makes you disturbed, freaked out and as I said, this is a fun movie. It's low on terror, I've seen scarier movies but then again, not every horror film has to be scary. So I would give this movie a 7.5/10.
