It is so rare these days to see a film with such a great story, filled with imagination, plenty of excitement, adventure and plain good fun but without profanity, gore and gratuitous sexual scenes. The story was unique, and the acting was excellent. I had never heard of this motion picture before and didn't really know what to expect. Both my wife and I found it to be a delightful fantasy.
The excellent music complemented the movie perfectly. I love it when the credits are given in a very creative and interesting manner, as they are in this film. We especially enjoyed the yodelling in the final song "Rolling Stone from Texas" written and performed by Don Walser (whom I had never heard of before).

I cannot believe the low average rating for this movie (5)! It is one of the best I have seen in a long time. The acting is good, the singing is really excellent and it is filled with good people -- the kind of people that fill my life as relatives and friends (unlike the unlikeable characters that populate most movie scripts these days). It has a very uplifting story, and there is absolutely no violence, profanity or sexual innuendos. What a treat! The only reason that I did not give it a "10" is that the principal actress did not look as if she were 14 years old. However, this is not very important, as her singing voice is so beautiful. Perhaps it is a bit idealistic, but we need much more idealism in our entertainment.
