I found Matteo on YouTube while surfing for standup and I am now a hopeless junkie of his comedy. He is a born entertainer. From start to finish I was laughing and hanging on his every word. His delivery is on point, his crowd work is brilliant, and he has a hilarious mixture of bitchy diva and down-to-earth friendliness that makes his performances genuine and entertaining. He is very open about his sexuality and if you are easily offended by mature topics or uncomfortable with homosexuality, then maybe give this a miss instead of ranting and complaining about it after the fact. This is pure GOLD and I can't wait to see more from him. Go check him out on YouTube and help him get more exposure. The world needs to know about Matteo!
This was a really good movie. For something that would probably be classified in the low-budget B-grade category, this was a nice surprise. I like that it is set in Indonesia, where it shows the poverty and real-life dangers of the area, like the ruthless pirates who terrorize the island, plundering and ripping young women from their families to abuse and sell to the highest bidder.
Although it may start out slow, stick with it because in act 2 and 3 the movie takes on a whole new persona as the retired assassins past brutal expertise kicks back into action. He kills fast and ruthlessly, leaving a trail of bodies behind him. It might be a little brutal for the squeamish, but the theme of doing what is right completely justifies the violence and I loved every minute of it watching the pirates get what's coming to them. It's a wild ride and I would definitely like to see more from this director. Highly recommend.

Delivered in an unusual way, the reconnection of a grieving woman to her late best friend was at the same time emotional and endearingly amusing. Vanessa and Jennifer seemed like an unusual friendship - one cautious and uptight and one wild and carefree. Touching on real themes like fear, regret, resentment and acceptance, it covers all these with depth and humour. Natalie Morales nailed Jennifer's awkward character - from her sentence construction, monotone alien delivery and the hilarious antics she got up to. I could have watched it for longer just to enjoy her performance. Loved it. Worth a watch.
