LOL This was hilarious!
A retrospective, modern approach to the 90's electronic dance/pop music and boy band concept!
This was a solid, funny comedy delivery!
The entire cast - Technoboys, Saborigenes, Melena - is FANTASTIC... - but, what can I say - I'm definitely team Mendez - that dude is SUPER FUNNY XD.
His facial expressions and the way he plays his character just made me burst in laugh XD...Alan kicks ass...!
Karla Souza is awesome as well!
Being a mexican gen-x, and having lived the 90's pop music phenomenon; it was really fun to see everything mixed up so well.
There's everything: the catchy pop single hit, the lead male singer, the lead female singer, the pop-star romance, the boy band, the differences, the attitude, the record label, the fame, the conspiracy, the manager...so many music industry cliches... all in all poured into an original effort, reminding us that music unites people...!
I definitely felt this was mostly aimed to the Mexican public - I think low ratings must be from those alien to Mexico and its urban/pop culture (either modern or vintage)... since language, expressions, lifestyle, places and other aspects displayed in the movie both were and are current in specific sectors in our society...
Anyway - I loved this - well done Netflix!

Just saw this yesterday night.
What a dark and entertaining roller coaster! - a bleak, action-filled, unexpected, and surprisingly creature-feature movie, plus other catastrophe/survival elements.
Reminiscent to Alien, and franchises such as Dead Space and others...this, being, course, underwater... quite deep the ocean - into the abyss... I believe that extreme depths within the ocean can definitely have the same feeling as space.
Besides, I'm always interested in Vincent Cassell's appearances ever since gems such as "Le Pacte des Loups"... We found this by accident, and since it was going to leave our streaming platform soon, we decided to give it a go - as it also appeals to our taste for horror movies.
I am quite surprised on the low rating this has got in here. I really cannot explain why.
Yes, the movie visuals are not very bright/clear, quite dark sometimes, but, you take that for granted since it is a ride through the abyss...and, perhaps a few more creature interactions would have been great...but, overall it was a fantastic, and in no way forgettable delivery. I pretty much remember every character and each situation...And both the Captain and the main female characters are superb - like old school 80's heroes.
This feels like some survival horror game - I found myself comparing the feeling to Dead Space or Bioshock...of course, they are not the same, but gave me some reminiscence.
Anyway, give it a chance - it's really good!

Wow - I was greatly surprised by the idea in this movie.
So happy to realize it's a mexican production as well.
It brings an interesting concept based on alternate/parallel realities/dimensions, time loops and reincarnation...with its own new ideas, that add up to the genre - making it a quite original movie.
Since the characters are all sort trapped in a specific time/space area - such as in a maze -, it reminded me the super classic "The Cube". This movie really transmits this feeling of suffocation and forsakenness.
The movie is dark, disturbing and puzzling. You gotta follow up details.
So it's really not a "relaxing" movie. Same happens with "The Cube" - it really achieves the same atmosphere.
Acting was good enough - sometimes a little bit overreacted in my opinion - but when the time comes, actors are able to display traits of insanity in a fantastic way.
Such an event described in the movie can definitely push a mind beyond and make it break to pieces.
The remaining ones, the survivors, are given a chance to end it all...
If you are a fan of time loop movies, alternate realities, psychological dramas and mystery...you like movies such as "The Cube", or love Cronenberg's work...then give it a go - you won't be disappointed.
This has easily become one of my tops dark SCI-FI movie!
