The One (2021)
Didn't grab me
Only watched one episode. The concept grabbed me in the trailer. Waaaaaay too much happens in the first episode that I lost interest. It's like a train wreck. Murder, perfect love, conspiracy, blackmail, greed, lust, divorce... goodness! Pick something.
Schitt$ Creek (2015)
WAS funny
The first episodes are funny. Family characters grow on you. Then the Hollywood liberal agenda begins to push. Typical couple seasons in and the LGBT relationship comes to the forefront.
Arctic Justice (2019)
Meh
Watched it with my 5 year old. A little intense for him in some parts, story makes no sense, but my kid enjoyed.
#FreeRayshawn (2020)
Sooooo slow
For a premise about cops, hostages, guns, family... this is painfully slow. Literally skipped the show ahead more times than I can remember.
Could have been over in an hour. Unnecessarily drug out.
Virgin River (2019)
Painful
Acting is ok, storyline is sooo predictable. Script made me want to laugh and throw up, in moments that we're trying to be serious. I'm sure if you're into Hallmark movies then you'll love it, but I can't do another minute of this nonsense. (Only made it through one episode).
The Irishman (2019)
Too long and slow to be great
Enjoyed the show. Didn't need to be this long. Suuuper slow in multiple parts.
The 100 (2014)
Why?!?
I was loving this show... interesting dialogue, amazing character and plot progression... and then they turn the main character into a bisexual. Why on earth?! It has nothing to do with the story. Typical Netflix pushing an agenda.
Snowpiercer (2013)
Nope
"You know what I hate about myself? I know what people taste like". Oye. I laughed.
It's a good idea for a movie. So many things that don't make sense. So many parts I just rolled my eyes at.
Another Life (2019)
Woeful.
Just woeful. Don't waste your time. I wanted to like this... but after 2 episodes I can't take it anymore. Poor lines, average acting, painful experience altogether.
Dumplin' (2018)
Not for me
I'm a guy. Watched this with my wife. Paaaaaainful. God, I love my wife. She owes me.
This movie isn't funny. Isn't cute. Makes no sense. Full of cliches. Insanely predictable.
No Good Nick (2019)
Couldn't make 5 minutes
It's awful. Might have been ok for 2002... but we expect better now.
The Silence (2019)
Not terrible, but 2 years too late
This movie would have been much more enjoyed if I hadn't seen the quiet place and bird box in the last 2 years. It's basically those movies, with slight adjustments. Not a complete waste... but definitely major flaws in the plot that make no sense
Unplanned (2019)
Powerful Story
It's overcoming a lot of resistance because of its message, but I think it does a good job at sharing Abby's story.
A little corny in some parts lost it a couple of stars. Definitely worth watching it if you care about life. Hi
After Life (2019)
Almost great
Some hilarious clips, just wish the unnecessary jabs at people of faith, or really just Christians, was left out of every episode.
The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann (2019)
Watched in 2 weeks
Interesting story. Glad to become more familiar with the history. Certainly no need to drag it over 8 episodes. Very slow and repetitive at times.
Triple Frontier (2019)
Meh
The movie is well made and acted, but the plot is severely lacking. Several things just make no sense, and you're constantly left waiting for something to happen.
Wild Wild Country (2018)
I had no idea!
This is the first I have heard of this story. I had no idea this happened!
An amazing story, would be a 10/10 if the font chosen was more readable. I often found myself working way to hard to decipher what was written.
Great job, Netflix!
Come Sunday (2018)
Objective
Many people seem to rate this movie poorly because they disagree with Carlton's position and doctrine. That really has nothing to do with it.
It's a good movie, well acted, and enjoyed.
The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind (2019)
Really enjoyed
Amazing story. Well acted and enjoyed. Learned a lot about a period of time I didn't know anything about.
Northern Rescue (2019)
Average
I only watched one episode. That was a decent accomplishment. Life is too short for shows this poor.
House of Cards (2013)
Too much
I loved this show early on. It was intriguing and was one of those binge-worthy series. I noticed that as each season ran on, I wanted to watch it less. I'd tell myself, don't even start the next season when it comes out. Then I would, because I am weak.
The show is incredibly dysfunctional, dark, morbid and does not leave you feeling good about yourself. It's no wonder that Kevin Spacey was investigates for sexual misconduct around the time of the shows end. This kind of show promotes promiscuity.
It's probably a personal thing, but I'd rather watch Jed Bartlet in the West Wing, because you know who the hero is, and you're rooting for them. In HoC, you don't ever know who the good guy is.
Outlaw King (2018)
Good movie, could have done without some parts.
I enjoyed the movie, thought it was well done. The goriness of some parts, and the unnecessarily lengthy sex/nudity scene impacted my score negatively.
A Very English Scandal (2018)
Agenda driven nonsense
I normally like some good English Witt and banter, but couldn't even make it through one episode of this rubbish.
Banished (2015)
I liked the concept
Really interested at the start of this. I felt the story progressed too quickly, and the characters developed at an unnecessary rate. Also... why kill off Tommy at the end?! What a waste, and an empty way to leave the show!!
Eureka (2006)
Fell asleep 4 times in the first episode
I'm sure I would have liked this show 10 years ago, but it's pretty average now. Maybe TV has come a long way... but I have now watched 6 episodes, and struggling to get into it still. Literally took a week of trying to get through the first episode. Not sure why all the 9-10 star reviews. So many shots that lag too long so that you think your TV is frozen, jokes that aren't funny, plots that aren't believable.
