My girlfriend and a I watched this on a laugh (her Dad's name is Phil Cobb), but it turned out to be a good film. We love films that lead to discussion, and not to give anything away, but we found this to be a pretty thoughtful comedy about the human condition. Do the things we love kills us or make us stronger? How do we really die anyway? (a coroner's report hardly capture how complicated this question is.) That being said, this isn't a heavy film --it's just well-written. The story centers on a dinner party, and the night is loaded with funny, awkward moments. The characters are mainly head cases, but the actors do a good job making them honest and real. (The lead is the Chief of Police on Parks & Rec, but I don't know anyone else.) This indie film is part farce, part docudrama, part IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE (weird, I know), but it works. Recommended
