I literally came in my pants for all 43 minutes of this show. It felt like there was "sunshine up my backside" the entire time whatever the hell that means!!!!!!@#1. Even though Ving Rhames obviously had feelings for AC (AquaCo*k), i thought it was straight up hilarious. And thanks for freaking Octo Mom and her ripping out a seat belt and kicking through a plane. Remember "there are things in the ocean that you couldn't imagine in your worst nightmares" and "to understand the Bermuda triangle, you must understand my son" (OctoMom, C. 2006). this just comes to show how great of a year 2006 along with Sonic 06, Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift, Superman Returns, and Happy Feet. God, this is Grammy worth material guys.If you are still reading this, you have been major trolled. That is all.
This years Golden Globes didn't have all the winners that me and probably the majority of you wanted, but thanks to Ricky Gervais and all of the presenters (especially Robert Downey Jr., and Matt Damon) proved very enjoyable and funny.
Biggest Disappointments Glee won three golden globes. To add insult to injury, their version of Don't Stop Believing was played three times, and they beat out candidates like Modern Family, and 30 Rock, which are much better than Glee. No offense, this is my personal opinion. Hans Zimmer Didn't Win Best Score For Inception. In fact Inception didn't win a single thing and the score for the social network, which was OK at best, won. Also, it was too predictable. Social Network won best drama, director, screenplay and score, Colin Firth of course won for the kings speech (he definitely deserved it, but he is going to win for the Oscars and i was hoping James Franco would win, because he was brilliant).
The Kids Are All Right Won (Again, Im not saying it didn't deserve, but i really wanted Red to win. Also, for that category, why was there Burlesque, The Tourist, and Alice in Wonderland? It should have been Other Guys, Scott Pilgrim, Kick Ass, Red and The Kids Are all Right). Also, 127 Hours didn't win a single thing and it was a great movie.
Good things that happened= Jim Parsons, (the nerd from Big bang Theory) won, which was a pleasant surprise. Robert De Niro won the Cecil B. Demille Award, and was presented by Matt Damon, who was very funny(he talked about his movies, then quoted other characters in the movies. His best line was,"And who could forget 'Taxi Driver' where he was literally unrecognizable as a blonde 13 year old hooker?" Christian Bale won for best supporting actor, for his excellent performance in The Fighter (Melissa Leo also won for the Fighter). Toy Story 3 won best animated picture (surprise!). Natalie Portman got her well deserved Golden Globe for her excellent performance in Black Swan. Robert Downey Jr., for the minute that he was on the stage. Quote:"I don't think an actress can say she's done her best work... until she's slept with me." As much as it was predictable, most of the awards handed to the social network were deserved. I think Fincher did a better job with fight club personally, but he did a great job here too Overall, this was better than last year in the fact that they gave it to Avatar last year, and this year was good for movies.
