Ready 2 Mingle is the series made for people who are bored, honestly. You let the series play and starts doing daily chores, that's it. To sum it up, the series starts with a perfect depiction of a couple Nirav played by Amol Parashar and Myra played by Aahana Kumra, and the prediction starts. Yes, you're right, the story is predictable, there are far more realistic events in the series to even call it a gripping series or a melodrama.
Every scene seems like a perfect art set of Suraj Barjatiya film, there is your compliment Production Designer. You see lots of colures, perfectly placed artefacts, wallpapers. But do you make a good series by just set or design, or by art or storytelling? After seeing Amol Parashar, who gave a charming performance in TVF Tripling, I thought it would not be bad but quite good series. Guess what, I was wrong.
The series has under-developed characters, loose ends and plot holes that you can't fill. The only good thing happening in the series is the chemistry between Myra and Nirav and that's when the screen flourishes. This could have been a short film if you just focus on the relationship of the two protagonists and I think that's the only thing which is written with a good craft. I'll go with 4 for the quite a good acting and seemingly okay direction but not for the overly written story.

The only reason I'm even talking about this series here is that there are fake reviews, and I mean it. I don't personally have any grudge with AltBalaji at all, I appreciate some of their movies but when I look at this series, which is not actually enough highlighted, I began to question, how the hell they have got 10/10 user review?
There are around 299 reviews and approx. 95% of them are giving 10/10, I mean, how? Everyone has written not more than 100 words, what is this micro-blogging? Just to get your mind clear, Gully Boy which was recently released has got 180 user reviews (18 Feb 2019), so just think for a second that a mainstream cinema, which is critically appreciated, received 4/5 rating from critics like Rajeev Masand and Anupama Chopra has less 10/10 review than this Student of the year turned melodrama. Are you kidding me?
Series have gone to an epic facetious level now, fake review, fake ratings. What more do you want? If you don't trust me then just watch this series for your personal entertainment, I'm sure, you'll enjoy it, the rating says 8.5/10 right?

As the title of the series reveals itself 'Maya', which means illusion. I thought that I will encounter something relatable to magic but what I saw seemed like an Indian version of fifty shades of grey. Pardon me if I'm wrong but honestly, you can create a better recipe if you know the right ingredient of making an erotic drama. Shama Sikander is no doubt a bold actress and also bold enough to even chose to play the lead character Maya, who's a troubled woman trapped in the realm of unfulfilled desire. Shama seems to be doing a good job justifying the character but not all of it and you can't blame her for that. The script has plot-holes that you just can't fill with sex scenes. The series focuses on just sex rather concentrating on the psychological dilemma one goes to indulge in fantasies like BDSM. I don't want to spoil it for you but the characters are having hardcore sex because they find solace in it, it's a good concept but it has to be backed with some solid plot. I can go with Five stars for this series, if you're looking for softcore porn then this series for you expect that it is just a tale gone wrong.
