Only reason I decided to put up this review after 5+ years of silence on imdb was because I see a lot of morons who think this series has glorified terrorists or muslims or both. If you think so too, then you're an idiot!
Its an excellent mini series, personally I think much better and more fast paced than Sacred Games. Its not so much horror than a suspense thriller and I just loved it to the core. Binge watched it and the ending really takes the cake!
All main characters had decent development, I mean what more can you do in 3 episodes. The director is the real hero here who did what no Indian director could do all this while.
I went in thinking that its going to be a stupid series, thanks to the moronic reviewers who are trying to be nationalists here on imdb after having done the same on facebook, but boy oh boy, was I surprised or what.
The series really takes off and once it does, you just can't not watch the remaining episodes in one go.
Ghoul is one of my best TV series ever!!

Now 'Raw' isn't a genre but it could very well be. The movie is as Raw as it gets. If you are planning to watch this movie on a lazy Sunday afternoon then you're better off it.
This movie is not for folks who expect the typical 'Bollywood Happy Ending'. Its far more in touch with reality than any other movie that I've seen in the last year, which is what makes it raw and gripping.
This is not your typical weekend movie and takes you into a world that no one really wants to be a part of. The struggles, the relationships, the circumstances are very real and you ought to watch it if you don't mind a taste of the 'not so beautiful' reality every now and then.
A little more pace in the movie would've definitely made this a far more edgy thriller, lets get a better editor next time maybe!

Vaastav still remains Mahesh Manjrekar's biggest hit till date - City of Gold was not even half of what Vaastav was. I was so excited to see this movie however it turned out to be one of the biggest disappointment of the year. The hype behind the movie was an untold story and the director's name but to tell you the truth - the core message of the movie that should have been was lost between a family's problems in poverty. The mill-workers that it is supposed to be based upon were only seen as poor people and any other mumbai-based slum movie would have shown what it did. Many of the actors were look-alikes e.g. Naru (character name) resembled R Madhavan and his brother resembled another TV actor which made this a little on the funnier side. Some tragedy scenes were done so tragically that it turned out to be funnier at times.
Bad acting, bad screenplay, nothing new - just not worth the time and money. After having seen Vaastav and Satya (by RGV) this movie falls flat.
