Keen Eddie (2003)
bloody awesome
Thank God for the Bravo, which has just picked up Keen Eddie. I had seen previews for it when it was on Fox, but never got around to watching it. Now that it's on Bravo, I've had the chance, and I'm glad I did. It's funny, and clever. (Also, Moneypenny is a very cute bit character. Makes me think of Bond, of course.)
The Pentagon Papers (2003)
excellent movie
The television had been plaguing me with advertisements for The Pentagon Papers, and my interest in the government and conspiracies and the CIA et cetera had already been piqued, so I decided to watch it.
Unfortunately, I wasn't at home when it came on, so I taped it, and when I finally got around to watching it, I was hooked.
Excellent movie for anyone who enjoys movies about the government and conspiracies and especially Vietnam.
The Mists of Avalon (2001)
eye-candy
The best part of this movie, as I often say, is that everyone is pretty. Especially, if I may say so, King Arthur (Edward Atterton) and his first knight and cousin, Lancelet (Michael Vartan).
Of course the movie doesn't live up to the book, but I enjoyed both in their own right. And plus, if you see the movie first, you could always imagine the actors as the characters! (Okay, so maybe I just like the two men. A lot.)
On its own, it still could have been better (the image of Avalon looks like a postcard, I'm afraid to say), but it is as worth your time as any other Arthurian movie, especially, say, "Excalibur".
