Scream (2015)
stupid moronic aimed at privileged sheltered teens
Its not the ill conceived dialogue its not the poor high school skit quality acting the sort of you see in TOEFL enactments, its the insipid way teen angst is depicted, in traditional Hollywood fashion. like the imbecilically obvious observations of these teen characters are depicted as prodigious intellectuals. Like being young and stupid is so fashionable. Also not to mention how they have just rounded up high school stereotypes from film writing workshops and given the characters any second thought before writing them to the script. The prodigy/nerd stereotype is supposed to be prodigious in everything. And any one from the computer science field would know that the explanation of their computer science projects were quite unbelievably over achieving and beyond the comprehension and understanding of high school students. Just another stupid fast food version of entertainment for sheltered pampered American youths who think their mundane obvious observations are award worthy. I expect better from todays youth and maybe a bit more from the writers. Maybe they shouldve depicted the adults as a supervising and wiser presence in their lives rather be just amazed and dumbfounded by the teens stupid insipid observations.
A to Z (2014)
Too pretentiously naive
A chunky adorable 'Jim Gaffigan' clone shall not fool anyone towards endearing us towards this show, I hope? Just another Romantic comedy movie duplicate to endear with the home television audiences. Such a purported ensemble of zany characters is unrealistic and unbelievable. Cluttering zany supporting characters does not make up for unrealistic and unrelatable lead characters. Script is uninspired and realistically awkward it might be its just too painful to watch. Trying to take that very surreal this worlds-a-collage of zany occurrences approach like 'Midnight in Paris' is too pretentious to be accessible to anyone with a mature intellect. Trying to imitate that worry free an-affair-to -remember romance dossier just seamed too painfully pandering to privileged audiences. Just another obviously pretentious and superficial account of romantic pursuits. People sleep around a lot, in this day and age promiscuity is extremely common. Why wasn't that taken into account, non of that influences the characters relationships and personality? How they behave the judgements they make are not based on their cavalier romantic experiences and sexual escapades?
Gotham: Pilot (2014)
What is every where, but not where the truth lies.
After viewing that 10 people took the time to vote down my review and checking that other reviews that were positive were also mostly voted down, i would gather people are disappointed by the pilot and I understand why. I was myself disappointed by the script, as it lacked originality and felt like statements from a telegraph message. My other problem was with pacing and particularly Barbara's relationships being rushed and crammed into one episode. Very enthusiastic and hungry performances from Cory Michael Smith and Robin Lord Taylor. A cultured Falcone will be a bit getting used to but a nice addition. Mrs Smith was delicious as Fish Mooney, who wouldn't wanna rub her feet. Not enough of Sean Pertwee. Loved his character being more opinionated and influential in Bruce's life. Who really was the man in the shiny shoes? Hope they come with more good writing for the rest of the series. I'd watch this show even though the pilot was a bit disappointing because I'm hoping enthusiasm from the shows creative/arts team and the actors will make up for it. I donot understand the mental process of some people giving the show poor ratings based on its depiction of some prominent Batman rogues gallery members as children. The child like depiction was already revealed in the trailer for the show. I've decreased my rating from 9 to 7.
Scorpion (2014)
A garbage concocted for reality generation
Expected better from CBS. Spouting random heterogeneous IT info concepts hastily for incoherence doesn't make it smart.
They should have done a better research job. Too much pandering towards stupid people and characters.
Moronically scripted melodrama. Dimwitted big brother promo contributed negatively.
It seems CBS do not understand technology workers. Too many clichéd and generically scripted egos. Stupid show made for stupid people.
Every one know server hard drives should be kept away from magnets. Stereo magnets aren't that over-active to erase a protected hard drive. Fast pace only makes the show look stupid.
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Utter morons comparing this motion picture with star wars as if its an institution
I am writing this review after being disappointed by the idiocy of some Moronic sheep who think one creative story-telling effort should be compared with another. And then deducting point based on what they think this motion picture does not have in comparison to star wars. And what's disturbing is that they deducted points on story elements that were part of the star wars story, obviously it wouldn't have that, its a different story. Sure there are similarities but that might be only because of one key character Groot i believe have people confused with Chewbacca from star wars. This is not an inspiration from star wars. This motion picture is an adaptation of several characters and stories published in over forty years of print. It could be debated that when marvel decided to put these old characters into a team (that was in 2007 annihilation:conquest) they might have put in Groot as a replacement for chewy in the team. as far as star- lord is concerned he has always been depicted in that aspect, a bit rough around the edges, outlaw-ish. The film had a few flaws to how simplistically the conflict between Ronan and Xandar was explained and how did Ronan amass such resources and why didn't Kree penalize Ronan for disobeying Kree law. One very smart approach the writers took was to represent nova-corp. as a Xandarian police force stripped of powered suits in contrast to the published source material. Pacing was pitch perfect, certain generic elements were written and directed differently. A lot of the characters' team efforts were represented with the feel from the source material. Character evolution and redemption was also hinted at. Star wars is not an institution morons, its just a story, its not even its own genre, there are several films in this genre. Far-scape could be compared to star-wars. Rocket raccoon, star-lord, Drax, Gamora, moon-dragon, quasar, nova are very old characters and stories.
Ultimate Spider-Man (2012)
A great episode, good art detail !
I read on the Marvel website comments under this episode that someone found Spidey to be somewhat pansy.
Actually I found Spidey to be less pansy then he usually is on this series. And the animation was very well detailed, loved it. Loved how the situation is played out by the main characters. Obviously this show is made for laughs more than serious story-telling. Maybe the story will have some relevance in the episodes to come. The Spidey Wolvie relationship has been also been animated in Avengers- EMH, however depicted as less contrasting characters. Didn't miss the dead-pool joke either, hilarious ! Also loved the Mesmero outfit straight from the comics!
Stiletto (2008)
Watch only if you wanna watch a killer-Stana with a feminine rage and a masculine charisma for killing.
Main Flaw Low Budget attributing to shortened story telling and cheap cinematography. Knowing Stana Katic was playing lead in this movie i knew that there must be some intelligent attribute to this motion picture, having seen her other efforts previously particularly "Castle" and "Faceless". Both of the former mentioned i recommend. The main flaw of the movie is that it suffers from low budget and short script. Budget is something that can be acquired after-wards if the script demands it but if it doesn't have much potential for a memorable experience for the audience then a high budget cant save the movie. The low budget is evident in the shortened city scape footages and the cheap camera technology used (cheaper in comparison to wild things III, which i think didn't have a decent enough script to be given some very good camera action angles and cinematography and colors). The main attribute that would really appall audiences is the hasty and cheap cinematography. It could be said that Stana Katic's performance is wasted in this movie having seen her in this endeavour she can make a decent action-heroine if not the best, rivaling 'Carrie Anne Moss'. All in all i would not say that it suffer from bad acting as almost all front and lead actor in this movie with the exception of "Stana Katic" and "Paul Sloan" are or were mainstream cinema veterans having starred in well known movies. i also can't say that it suffers from bad script or bad dialogue because it struggles hard not to sound clichéd or contrived , which is an intelligent attribute.
negative: low budget:(true)-1 point hastened storytelling:(true)-1 point bad cinematography(camera-everything):(true)-1 point needed something more:(true)-1 point All leads needed more air - time :(true) -1 point Explanation for the main characters killing skills: (true) -1 point ending needed more:-1 the cover gives a false impression of major motion picture or a high octance good budget action flick within the league of punisher(2004): -1 positive: good acting from all lead actors: +1 not a bad scrpit: +1 good casting:+1 main actor(Stana Katic) good performance:+1 All kills warranted:+1 ending was apt:+1
negative:positive -8:+5 movie:lost whether to watch it : Will be disappointed due to poor cinematography, but won't be by Stana katic's performance, i would recommend instead watching any of her Castle episodes or "Faceless", but then a huntress/killer Stana you'd be deprived of. Watch only if you wanna watch a killer-Stana with a feminine rage and a masculine charisma for killing.
