Evil started out strong. I really enjoyed season 1, season 2 was fine, and 3-4 lost me. I did watch every single episode - you never know what might happen, it might get better, and I hate leaving stuff unfinished.
There's a very noticeable change progressing from season 1 to 2. New producers probably, I haven't been motivated to look it up. The series starts to take a lighter, more comedic tone, which persisted until the finale. I was not a fan of this direction. Ultimately, it felt like the show could never quite decide if it wanted to be horror or comedy. I ended up really hating it - season 4 is awful and so disconnected from season 1 that's it's a totally different show.
The good stuff: makeup, effects, and all the other technical stuff is solid. The demons look fantastic. The acting is very good - people complain about the cacophony of Kristin's daughters but I thought they were fun and gave an apt portrayal of 4 sisters.
Some stuff was left unresolved, most of it forgettable, although I did want to know what the deal was with Lexis and her tail. Didn't care for the ending, but then I wasn't really invested in the show anymore so that's irrelevant.

The lighting completely ruins any potential this movie might have had. The strobing effects could trigger a seizure, so if you're sensitive to that don't even try to watch this movie. Most of the movie is too dark, lit primarily by flashes of lightning and blinking emergency lights. It's nuts. Then there's a whole sepia toned segment which is visually out of place.
There's nothing really innovative here, but I found the story mostly interesting. There's a lot of intermingling of timelines, and that might be a challenge to follow. The ending is muddled. The acting is fine, maybe a little on the dull side but not terrible.

This was a tough one to get through.
Right from the start, you realize the accents are... wrong. There wasn't even an attempt at consistency there.
The acting was hit and miss. Some of the actors were just fine, others were amazingly atrocious.
The storyline is convoluted and takes way too long to move from one development to the next.
The characters range from neutral to intensely unlikeable, and there's no significant character development. I couldn't find anyone to root for, or even care about.
The sets - well, there were a number of glaring errors, with clearly modern day items randomly mixed in with stuff that could possibly be from the time period. Or not.
Waaaayyy overlong, and that made it a slog. Tighten the editing and it could have been entertaining.
