  • Reality in it's truest form

Let me start off by saying that knowing this movie is based off of a true story, it will reach it's audience on a very personal level. The ratio of good luck to bad luck that Tommy Botch encounters really grasps the reality of the "after college market." Living in an overpriced, mediocre apartment, losing someone who you were ready to give your life to, not being able to hold a job in your chosen career path, and having only "mere acquaintances" to carry you through rough times is exactly what every adult encounters right after the elation of graduating college and starting real life. Although this movie is extremely slow paced, I enjoyed every moment of it. I laughed, I cried, I came to sudden realization of my own life. These are emotions that every movie should have it's viewer experiencing. So, before you decide to watch "Mere Acquaintance", make sure you've got plenty of time, a lot of popcorn, and an open mind. Enjoy.
