Not your typical British detective drama. Ambitious, beautiful, poignant. Phenomenal ensemble cast. Quality is so good one episode is worth the licence fee alone. On a par with The Bridge and Jiri Haji.
Genius show if you are familiar with these kinds of north London characters and dysfunctional small family businesses. It's really about Stath, his family and colleagues not the flats.
Brilliant characterisations and attention to detail of mannerisms, pronounciations, mangled turns of phrase, and class and family dynamics.
Another one to add comedy high street alongside Phoneshop and Job Lot.
