here is a film that has a global view, level, and more so a cosmic goal.i feel sorry to read some terribly banal reviews about this movie by a writer Klein? i am sure many who do not appreciate such films are just used to other type of movies.otherwise how could one understand arts and its related perspectives and would not admire Anthony Quinn,s acting in his perhaps best ever in this remarkably original piece of art work? how could one trash the design of the film? it's most unique, script, and concept? and the Directing that is absolutely a miracle for a debut from an artist that i would openly argue is perhaps the most shining Debut i have ever seen in the history of cinema? this movie has it's place high up in the skies when it comes to the list of original works of artistic merits and is perhaps way below the expectations of those who would admire "only" films for fun, rambo-like and or, simply entertainment pure films. with all due respect to Mr.Klein who by the way only writes a line in his destruction of such a giant art work i also criticize IMDb, and would like to report this critic as one with less than necessary words for it to be printed in the first place. what Mr. Klein writes about such an art work with extraordinary humane dimensions reminds me of the Nazis and or the current Religio Fundamentaists all over the planet who are doing all they can not to ever see mankind becoming "united" on earth. this movie remains yet to be appreciated when we have a whole different world full of the arts and fantasy for appreciating it.
another politically driven name with no talent as a director whatsoever.the film is just terrible and this guy gets full banking to make another film ? great directors used to really make movies, know their craft and leave this planet with much to learn from as now all you have to do or to be is to connect yourself to the politics of the day. really a waste of time and money.this movie is so below the average like so many European trash films " not trash as in Trash Genre of course, since those films are sometimes greatly executed and with brilliant results". the ac tings are far below average, and the twist and turns and story is so ordinary, i would not even give a student the money to do such a film as a start movie for a lousy career. sorry, i am just sounding angry perhaps but am not but seriously critical of all Iranian films, Iranian Directors and the rest of the world of cinema who is most opportunistically filling their pockets and writing critics worthy of Orson Wells films but instead for all these ordinary dramas and really inferior films in all perspectives from concepts to direction and production as well the actors are just O.K.
Hitler's Grave surprised me amongst all films in 2012 and touched me as one of the most original films i had ever seen. however, i read many places that Shokof is well known for being an original artist.now i really like to see films from him, and question myself how come i never saw any films by him till now?! is it because he is so original? weird?! strange that so many great filmmakers go unrecognized. anyway, this film should get much attention from all those who do not like racism, restricted religion codes and freedom above all.but that said , it is also the film that all Nazis would hate to ever come across to.racists are doomed to destruction when they have one word to say in the theater.yes, it is really a courageous film from any and many perspectives as well.i also read "since i really wanted to know about this artist, filmmaker" that he was even kidnapped for his works and belief. now, how in the world did he really make such a film?! and now that such a rarity has come to exist, how do the world of cinema goes about ignoring it? i read that it was rejected by all major film festivals until it finally landed the major awards at some festival in Los Angeles? the film is full of great lines.the actors or rather say, the lead actors are all great.the lead actress is overwhelming in her portray of the dazed and confused Iranian Moslem woman who now searches freedom and is up to deliver a promise that is more important to her than her own life. the ending of the picture alone is worth all the every pleasurable minute one sits through this great movie.a down out eye opener in all aspects as i would recommend this film to all and every human being who would really rather see a great film than just spend money and pop corn for films as business as usual watch it and vote for it for the best film of the year in many categories starting with the best original script to the best actress and directing and the film , not to forget the strange music score that adds to the wholesomeness of this very masterfully executed feature film.
