When that line was said is when I lost it and my normally stoic visage began to crumble. We sometimes find it so hard to connect to our true selves. That inner self who was doing the childlike dreaming. Who we really are. She had forgotten that inner child until an old childhood boyfriend came back into her life. She had been busy chasing her dream when it actually existed inside her the whole time, but she lost touch with it. The brilliance of this script is that it reaches deep down into this very human struggle we all face at one time or another. Who am I? Where am I going? Am I in the right place? Am I with the right person. I found it tragic in that both leads did not seem to understand what had happened to them. If only he had said the words she was searching for when the time was right and she asked why. "I love you." If only he had realized what he actually felt. Octavio Paz once wrote when two kiss it is as if wings sprout on the backs of slaves. It seemed to me as if both were still in chains. And yet there is always hope if we take that chance and roll the dice. So very well done. Thank you.
I knew the bad reviews were all fake, ignore them. Do they think we are stupid? This was a great documentary filmed over a year from the early days of her school strike outside the Swedish Parliament to her harrowing two week journey across the Atlantic Ocean to attend a UN Climate Conference in New York City! It was very inspirational especially for children and young adults. See it on the big screen for the full effect!
