This Spanish comedy delivered a chaotic yet entertaining experience. The family, with six unruly children and additional extended family and friends, created a whirlwind of hijinks. The father (a well-known Spanish actor) dominated the screen, constantly responding to issues with their kids. The mother played a bit part and was very much a supporting actress. Oddly, neither parent seemed to have jobs or at least it wasn't clear what they did but that might have been lost in translation. The film, filled with silly and unbelievable scenarios, featured over-the-top performances and would suit fans of slapstick comedy.
This comedy film about three spoiled adult kids reluctantly helping their old nanny's son with funeral arrangements is a riot.
The nanny's request to be buried in the family's mausoleum is met with refusal by the trio, leading to a series of hi-jinks as her letters to them reveal home truths and secrets.
I suspected from the trailer that it would be a fun ride and I was right. The session was also well attended proving its appeal.
Though a bit cheesy and predictable, the movie was packed with surprises and even the unlikeable characters were likeable.
Perfect for a light-hearted afternoon. A film that will appeal to audiences around the world.
So glad I saw it.

Role Play follows the story of an undercover assassin for hire whose life takes an unexpected turn after she and her mild-mannered husband go on date-night in the city.
While the plot may not be the most believable, the film is funny and entertaining.
This is a great choice if you're struggling to find something on TV and looking for an easy-to-watch movie without the need for deep thinking or analysis.
"Roleplay" may not break any new ground and I'm not convinced that I entirely bought Cuoco and David O as a couple, but the film's not that deep. David O is funny as the hapless husband and Cuoco is entertaining as a soccer mom/spy.
The scenes with Bill Nighy are particularly good.
