Wow! On another level of suck...
13 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is the worst incarnation of the Hansel & Gretel story that I have seen so far. I think if push came to shove it would be a good premise. Changing up the usual narrative by making them enemies. However, the execution is sorely lacking as the special effects. The only move these supposed witches have is choking and tossing one another across a room or into a tree. Come on, I'm no expert but you could have spent a little less on costuming and bought another idea.

Jaw dropping!

All I can say is I sat a full 30 seconds after this episode with my mouth wide open. This one was super (no pun intened) effed up. But so good. Way to go writers.

Vampire (I) (2011)

Not scary...but depressing
1 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I wish I'd come here first instead of relying on the silly algorithms of the streaming services. This vampire pic is not scary, just sad. I have not up to this point finished it. After a 1:10 I couldn't watch anymore. Who's to say it may have just been getting good. Maybe I'll be bored enough one day to find out. If I finish it I will update my rating, maybe.

This vampire is not a vampire at all, he's a low budget Dr. Kevorkian (my apologies to his victims' families, but that's the best way I can think to describe him). He wants to be a vampire but doesn't have the stomach for it, literally. It jumps right into the action, if you can call it that, with very little explanation. It sort of drolls on with him finding victims here and there through a support group. It's obvious the dude has some personal issues.

The film has some great actors but their talents are wasted to me. There is no real drama, considering the subject matter. I just don't get it. If I could get my time back I'd give it a pass for sure.

Amazing cast, interesting premise, yet somehow disappointing
31 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This movie could have been so much more. The all star cast... top notch. Adam Driver's deadpan, Bill Murray as the straight man. Tilda Swinton weird as only she knows how. Chloe Sevigny at her hysterical best. Steve Buscemi as the cranky old guy. Awesome supporting cast. However, some parts were so slow, like the opening. I know many will turn it off well before any action begins. If they didn't tell you something weird was going on you'd have no clue. Some great comedy, some great kills but the end. The end... just ends you don't know what happens to what seems to be 3 of the main characters (the kids) now that everyone is effected. They just run off... how's that work?

I'm so confused... who thought this was a good idea.
12 April 2019
I'm confused and mad at myself for watching this. This has to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen. The story was lacking... everything. I don't come to Lifetime for Oscar worthy material but have mercy, this was a mess. The acting was sub-par at best. Although, they didn't have much to work with.
