KAOS is a creative retelling of the Greek myths. Interesting concept and delivery. Has some weak points in the story and continuity, but nothing as tragic as casting Jeff Goldblum. Why? Simple. Jeff's 15 minutes of fame are long over. He had a few good movies way back when...The Fly, Earth Girls are Easy, and then came Jurassic Park. Oh, it was a good movie and Jeff played a brilliant role. Here is the problem - EVERYTHING he has done since, Jeff is exactly the same. His mannerisms, his expressions, his movement, voice, everuthing. He stopped acting. It worked for a couple of movies, but it has gotten old. To me, it has become annoying. These days, if I see something with Jeff in it, I tend to skip over it. Like I nearly passed on KAOS also. But a preview got me interested. Jeff, again, is just predictably boring and stale in this. The rest of the cast is not bad. Some interesting stuff done here, makes it worth a watch. Even though Jeff's presence may make it a deterrent.
DCU overall sucks donkey farts, yes the same ones. Awful shows and movies, and mostly terrible casting. Doom Patrol was finally something different and descent when it showed up. Mostly, I started watching it because April Bowlby was in it. I gave the first season a solid 8/10. As it went on, it kinda seemed to droop and become repetitive with emotion overall feel. It dropped to 6/10 for me. I did not feel a special build up to the ending, just the same grind as previous episodes. But still, I did like how each went out in their own way. Kind of a sweet ending, but fairly predictable. Overall, the show was refreshing, bold, and went where no other show has gone (literally a few times). It could have been better, but, that is just my opinion.
I have NEVER liked Ezra in anything. Why is he still cast? Never liked that awful actress they installed as Blunder Woman. The jokes so far are for 10 year old children. Oh gee, guess what...seems you needed to watch the tv series to understand what is what...I gave up on that after the first season. I only lasted through that because Danielle Panabaker was in it. 16 minutes, and I am confused who is playing Batman. This may be the ONLY reason I may still watch a bit more of this disaster. Oh, all the commenters complaining about bad CGI? So far well based. They are terrible. They must have slashed that budget to the bare minimum. There are plenty more things wrong so far in this movie..but it seems DC is set on making awful movies. What really puzzles me is that there are people actually going to see this carp. Why? Who are these people? I don't know anybody who went. That includes my two sons and their friends. And that is a pretty big crowd!
