Faith-based films, although always well intentioned, have in the past, quite often fallen short compared to their secular, Hollywood counterparts in movie making quality. Small Group changes all that. This wonderful film is proof that faith-based films have arrived and can provide humor, drama, inspiration and a wide range of emotional experiences for the viewer.
The humor is so natural and well timed (often self reflexive about Christians themselves), and the drama sometimes heart wrenching that will being tears to your eyes.
It is because of that emotional payoff and more that I give this a 10.

Binge watch this now or you will forever be an incomplete person. Seriously though, this inventive take off on Film Noir is a laugh-a-second comedy that is deliciously self reflexive at all the right moments. Not since Bergen and McCarthy has there been such a pairing of man and dummy. The bite sized episodes are perfectly paced and our heroes always get their man. Or woman.
