Its not a great scripts, its good and its ok. And its not hollywood acting and surpreme VFX art and CGI. But it is gritty, dirty and violent with a beautifull setting, with actors who really are doing their best to tell a good story.
Its is like watching Conan again, and I loved it. If you are a film snob and only love movies for their what ever hidden agenda, its not a movie for you.
This is a dirty, small budgettet, B movie with half naked ladies, violent men in a setting that leaves nothing but a raw taste of blood in your mouth.

First of all, I am zombie fan. I like to see movies where society fail and the human aspect of survival and I love to see how the characters switch from social normal to "I think I can survive by doing this" The leftovers gives me this feeling, the two percent is still 49 million people leaving the planet in an instance. Imagine the emotional impact, I dig it, I love to see how the characters just do not care about their lives anymore and how some of them are trying to keep up normal...
The leftovers have a lot to offer and a lot of things can go wrong, really wrong. I am looking forward until the next couple of shows and prey god there it is not something like "lost" or a sad plot.
If you like apocalyptic survival, but in another way- The leftovers are a must see. Do not expect blood and gore, but the slow breaking of our society as we know it.
