This is a good film. It has all the look and style of the original. The action scenes are longer and more spectacular. It's only problem, it's a sequel.
Part of the reason sequels are always inferior to the original (Godfather 2 excepted) is familiarity. The concept of the original was something engaging, it immediately grabs your attention. This is not an ordinary sci fi film. Reloaded assumes (probably correctly) that all it's viewers will have seen the original. So the premise of the film is no longer new and fascinating. This is ofcourse not the fault of the film makers, it's an inherent problem with sequels. What is the fault of the film makers is the weaker storyline.
The original followed Reeves from his journey from Anderson, to being "the One". It's starts off in our every day western reality, and takes us on a journey through an alternate reality and ends in a place we've never been before. Reloaded starts in a place we have been before (in the original), and ends there. Neo no longer develops as a character, he starts the film as a super human, and goes about doing cool super human stuff. The super hero that saves the human race, now there's a concept we are all too familiar with.
If you loved the original for its effects and action scenes, you will probably like this one even better. If you loved the original for it's storyline, then you will be a little let down. But it's still well worth seeing, there's a whole lot worse movies out there.

This comedy show launched the careers of the Rob Newman, David Baddiel, Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis. Newman and Baddiel went on to have their own show, as did Punt and Dennis. Newman and Baddiel were the more successful of the 2 duos. There last live show was the only comedy act to play and sell out Wembley Arena in London.
Despite the fame and popularity of the 4 comedians throughout the 90's, it's seems that the show that brought them to the attention of UK audiences was forgotten. Which is a great shame, as it was excellent. A hilarious mixture of stand up and sketches. Pre dating The Fast Show by three years, it's characters and catch phrases were just as popular as any on the Fast Show. But unlike The Fast Show, The Mary Whitehouse Experience has passed into the dustbin of history. Characters like Mr Milky Milky, catch phrase "Milky Milky" and the History Today Show, catch phrase "that's you that is" are no longer quoted in school classrooms and pubs, unlike the Fast Show's favorites.
The show's stand up sections got the foursome labeled new wave comedians, which may have been part of the problem. Getting associated with meaningless phrases that floated around the early 90's probably was why the show was never repeated. The fact that Mary Whitehouse has since died and not to many kids know who she was, also helped to buy the show in forgotten pile.
However, for a brief time in the early 90's teenagers and 20 something's across the land were treated to a slice of something special. Uniquely funny, and endlessly quotable. Shortly Lived.

I can't add anything here that has not been said over the previous 70 comments. The simple fact that a film with no dialogue at all has so many people saying what a masterpiece it is 20 years after it's release speaks for its self. It's suitable for anyone who is willing to think about a film whilst watching it. Probably best avoided by action movie fans and people who voted for George W Bush.
