I like Tyler, and I can see how he has matured, but what the heck is Netflix thinking? His first episode and they stuck him with a trashy actress wannabe dressed like a street corner trollop and pass her off as a celebrity?
How about real people. The show he did with non celebrities was really good and Netflix has just ruined this show from the starting gate.
Poor Tyler. He's letting himself be choreographed and taken advantage of. They sat five people right in front of him and he is clearly overloaded with so much coming into his head. It's a jumble and he cannot concentrate.
Make it a proper reading with regular people who write in and they come on. No one in tv, no one in movies or the wannabe tik tockers, just ordinary people.
A lot of the Netflix shows are awful, and I'm disgusted what they've done with Tyler. His mom has always been a bit of a ditz, and maybe she babbled him into it, but Tyler, you need to escape their clutches. His mom is a strong support person for him, because doing this does affect his health, but she is starting to come off as the proverbial stage-mom leach. Stay home mom, he's a grown man.
My one star is not a reflection of Tyler, but of Netflix and their LOW standards.

Granted, it's part of the film, but the mother is insufferable. She listens to, very literally, nothing her daughter says to her. When the daughter speaks, the mother just rolls over her with her own dialogue.
She is very duplicitous with her daughter and it would annoy any parent watching this.
Yes, it is part of the plot but it was hard to watch. I wanted her to die off in the movie. Right up until the end she was a moron.
As for production, they did crash in Canada. On their way to Alaska, but the story has them crash in Canada.
Did they not glance at maps? Yellowknife is in the opposite direction to Alaska. No one would travel in that direction to get there. I could not identify the plane but it was small, and likely only able to make an 800 mile trip and the distance from their take off location in Washington state up to Alaska would be roughly 1700 miles. More stupidity.
We do not have state police, nor do we have the FBI. We have the RCMP; wow, how the moron force was strong in these people.
We do not have Park Rangers in american uniforms. We have Conservation Officers in their own uniforms.
We do not conduct search and rescues like they represented in the movies. I doubt the US does either for that matter.
Overall some production errors were tolerable, but some were just unacceptably bad. A lot of American movies get made up here, and if the story is supposed to be in the US they will use their names for things, but when they are actually set in Canada for the story line, get it right. Don't be so dumb.
Overall I do not recommend this film and that is based on the insufferable mother character and how the actress portrays her with showing all her emotions on the face, when she should have a poker face so as to survive among killers. Bad writing.

I could't make it through the one episode. I started to watch the one where the Australians go to. Phuket.
Various couples/siblings/families from all walks of life in Australia get taken to Phuket and put in a simple motel on the beach.
There are those who think they are sophisticated and those who backpack through life. Whilst the back packers were a nice couple, everyone above them in the higher economy bracket were ghastly people.
Sophisticated? I wouldn't let those people take out my garbage. Lacking in good manners and civility, they interacted with local people by insulting everything in sight: food, way of life, the town, the people. They had no appreciation for another culture, mocking it, fake gagging. Truly horrible people. The Americans (I'm not one) would call them the lowest of rednecks. They were vulgar.
I wanted to ask them to take a look in the mirror and explain what about them looked special? Not a darn thing.
It was so distasteful to watch I stopped the show about halve way in.
A lot of this is what I've heard Australians are like and good grief, how embarrassed to watch. The only genuine people were the backpacking couple; they were respectful and treated their host community and people with respect. The rest of them, should have just gone home where, apparently, they will fit in. Shameful.
