Movie tries to give logic against several religious practices..while it looks little biased towards protaganist's real religion, but mocks the other side heavily.. Imagine PK 2 getting released, where PK lands in an Islamic country and finds out all the evils of Islam like terrorism, Sharia law, Halal, Jihad,etc. Can you imagine that movie releasing? Even if it is I am dam sure Charlie Hebodo will be repeated...Mocking is not exactly a good way to portray religion, ..but the director wanted to make a proclaimed offender, a saint in his next movie - Sanju.

Sanju deserves not just cynicism but scorn. It is an utterly dishonest film, one trying to make its severely flawed protagonist seem like an essentially nice guy who fell into bad company because of enablers. It is a film that tries to explain away an act of terrorism by blaming it on a question-mark in a headline.

Story is oxymoron as hero believes in something& emphasizes on the same, --till the end, but then he decides to think otherwise... not sure , why this story was even considered , as its not very smart plot?? But , if story can be discounted...the rest of the elements - setting, characterization, cinematography and theme looks real good....not a boring movie, neither very convincing...songs are soothing though..
