This is not a real review, it should be understood more as a collection of impressions on the film.
A small absolute masterpiece that understood that classic monsters work well especially if treated in an ironic way and without excessive seriousness. Beautiful and irreverent film where Cage thanks to the beautiful interpretation of Dracula holds the whole film on his shoulders making it truly beautiful. In general, therefore, the film is worth watching especially if you appreciate these slightly comical reinterpretations of classic stories, but even if you do not appreciate them because this film is suitable for everyone, both those who appreciate horror and those who appreciate comedy.

A fairly unnecessary prequel to a very good horror that is not too bad either, that is, it is not a masterpiece but it manages to create enough anxiety and therefore manages to keep viewers glued to the screen. Having said that, however, the film, even if it has a very good development, has an ending that is a bit too hasty that undermines the slow construction of Pearl's madness, if the ending had also had a slightly more gentle pace then this would have been a very good thriller, really beautiful and bloody, but being slightly hasty it is not so.
