Interesting little B/W oldie:Dr. Bernard finds out his wife is sailing for the states with the super wealthy Mr. Stevenson-the good Dr. secures passage as ships surgeon to confront his wife. Meanwhile we meet Millie who only wants to live life on the top deck,but has to find a way up there from 3rd class,she first gets help from Mr. Thorndyke who used to live that life but is now busted out.(he is asked why he is traveling 3rd class and his reply is "because there is no 4th class")Millie does work her way up,and when finally in the company of a gem merchant she has to make a decision between the offered rhinestones or diamonds.Back to the main plot line,when the DR.,his wife and Mr. Stevenson meet, Stevenson is the one pretending to take some high moral road-which is absurd because he has spent the whole film chasing after some opera diva he met on board. And all the while Nurse Morgan does her duties and quietly suffers in the background of this 5 sided triangle.I have to say,I always enjoy C.Aubrey Smith's performances in any film I have seen him in-here he plays Mr. Thorndyke, and he is wonderful. The female leads are all lovely-you ought to read Alice White's bio on IMDb-quite a story.

Wonderful show!First,I was delighted by how we are given these characters and they proceed to evolve in the following 17 episodes-none of them stay locked in,they change,as people should.Basically this big company is run by Mrs. Song(Grandma),her son Chairman Cha,her daughter Sook-hee Shin, and the two sons Ji-heon Cha(Ji Sung) and Mu-won Cha(Jaejoong-"Hero"). Ji-heon and Mu-won were first rivals in love with Na-yoon Seo,but now are candidates for Chairman Cha's position.Mu-won seems the perfect son,as Ji-heon has some problems.On a whim,Mu-won hires Eun-seol Noh(Choi Kang-hee)to be Ji-heon's personal secretary-she is the pretty,plucky,poor girl.So,Eun-seol begins to help Ji-heon,and a new triangle develops with the two young men and her-much to the stunned amazement of Na-yoon. There are many laugh-out-loud moments in this series,I found.An important tip is,at the end of episode 17-do NOT watch the previews of the next show-there's a huge spoiler image you don't need to see-( a big mistake on their part).DO watch this series-it's VERY good and worth your time.

Interesting show-I think the writer(s)and actors wanted a project that was NOT about fluff and fashion and teen crushes,and succeeded in that. Basically 5 young adults meet through twitter,and their individual stories and how they become friends is the storyline here. The group are known by their nicknames:"Haru"(Ueno Juri)is a substitute high school teacher. "Peach" (Megumi Seki)is a shop girl."Linda" (Tetsuji Tamayama)works for a magazine."Nakaji" (Eita)is an aspiring photographer."Doctor"(Hero) is a medical salesman.These people all feel alone,and begin to help and care for each other as the series progresses.Set in modern day Japan,the outdoor location scenes and interior sets are wonderful. If I had any criticism it would be an overuse of the score.(something I am finding endemic to Asian drama's) This isn't a show you will find outtakes or a gag reel for,I sense these are real actors working their profession-and very well.
