Billy Bob, Jon Hamm, James Jordan, Colm Feore and begrudgingly last is Ali Larter. The rest of cast was average or less than. I am a big fan of Sheridan's other series but sadly very much let down by this one. Its done in a very juvenile manner. Its like watching a comic flailing away and forcing his own laughter because the audience isn't getting it.

The story is a mash up of the petroleum business, Mexican cartel, insurance law, cowboy justice etc. It has the right ingredients but half baked and half committed. Its a toss up for me to recommend so its a 5 star rating. Worth watching only when the 5 "stars" are on screen.

Over dramatized story of a riot police squad. I don't know anything about Roman law enforcement but this ain't police work. This unit comprises of unit members that would be disqualified from light desk duty. They are all mentally unstable and on the brink of losing their minds. I suppose this might be so because the story presents Roman streets full of angry rioters on a daily basis.

The biggest defect in the show is the ... show. What is this really about? Much of the time we are exploring the chaotic personal lives of all the main characters in the unit. The home drama is just filler for what should have been at best a 4 episode season. The last 10 minutes of the final episode is irrational and beyond belief. If you have even the slightest casual knowledge of policing you should avoid this series at all costs.

Well in heart anyway. I never want to give up the modern comforts of life but if I had to I'd move to Phulera. I'd go there for the people despite their drama or maybe because of it. I found this show funny and tragic at times.

The lead character is Abhishek who installed as the new secretary of the panchayat. He doesn't really want to be there and is focused on studying for his CAT exam to get into an IIM school. He comes to find Phulera has a lot more to offer than just a temporary job as the secretary.

The series is a pleasant offering of rural life mixed with typical human issues. I am unfamiliar with any of the cast maybe for 1 actor. They all gave sufficiently good to great performances. The best aspect of the show is the comedy which sneaks up on you slowly as you grin and laugh.

The show makes me think of how we value what's important in our lives. The material things and leisurely pleasures are only as fulfilling as the people we share them with. With good people around you a simple gourd or a jack-fruit is more than enough. Bring on Season 4!!!
