The film is very faithful to the book and achieve success most of the humorous scenes. Nat and Gabi are very good characters and the film brings back the nostalgia of adolescence, of the time when we read the book.
On the other hand, the film has serious flaws:
1. Duration: 1h35 minutes is very little time to tell the story of a 330-page book; The consequence of this is that the story is rushed and worse, poorly told (Alberto and Natália's relationship becomes absurd, it comes out of absolute nothing); 2. Time and space: what was the objective of the film to take place in the year 2000 and not in 2008 as in the book? This change didn't add anything, on the contrary: at the end of the film, when Fani is going to the plane, a TAP Airbus appears in the background, but TAP only started operating in Belo Horizonte in 2008 (precisely at the time when the film should have been set). Much worse than the issue of time is this issue of space, since until Paula Pimenta appears in the film, it is simply impossible to feel that the story takes place in Belo Horizonte, as there are a total of zero Minas Gerais accents in the cast, but there are a legion of Rio accents and some São Paulo accents. Why doesn't the story take place in Rio or São Paulo? The story taking place in BH was implausible; 3. Still on the issue of time: if the film takes place in 2000, what was the point of using Perfect (Ed Sheeran, 2017) as the soundtrack? Wasn't there some beautiful, romantic music in keeping with the time in which the film takes place?
4. Inácio is completely ignored, he is not even credited at the end of the film (in addition, the actor who plays Inácio seems to be younger than the actor who plays Alberto, when it should be the opposite); 5. The pauses that occur in the scenes to show what Fani is thinking are a excessive/unnecessary most of the time.
Overall, the film is worth it for the comedy and nostalgia, but it could be much better if the errors mentioned above had not happened.

As other people have already written in their reviews, Ikimizin Sirri is a remake of a korean drama: Marriage Contract. But what these people didn't write is that it's a really bad remake.
Marriage Contract focuses on the illness of the heroi's mother and the illness of the heroine, while Ikimizin Sirri focuses on the mafia. While Marriage Contract moves us by the growth of the characters, by the pain of a mother who may soon die and leave her little daughter, by the pain of the secondary characters in seeing the suffering of the protagonist, Ikimizin Sirri gives prominence to a silly villain who barely appears in the original version.
The story of Neva's disease is not developed and in the end she is heals out of nowhere (ie the Turkish version has a deus ex machina ending, and precisely one of the things I liked most about the korean drama was that it DOES NOT HAVE a deus ex machina ending, but rather an ending consistent with the story presented, and realistic).
Marriage Contract gives us cliché but very beautiful and valuable lessons: live intensely as if it's your last day, love your family and friends, don't be a bitter person... Ikimizin Sirri gives us a "lesson" (very obvious to anyone) which is: don't be stupid to borrow money from mobsters.
That is, this remake does not come close to quality of the original version.

It's everything so bad in this soap opera that I don't even know where to start... I'll start with what's good: Elvan, Selim, Fuat and Selma are great characters. My only complaint is that Selma's reason for to going to prison has not been revealed.
The other characters... Atif and Seray are by far the worst. Atif is not man enough to take the blame for the crime he committed in the beginning, he is not a man enough to reject his mother covering up his crime, he is not a man enough to tell the truth to Seray in person (he told in a letter) ... In short: Atif not man! He's the baby Taner (the mother's henchman) has to take care of. Seray, on the other hand, is a stupid girl who condemned her mother without even knowing the reason for her father's death, a girl who lives with her uncle going through the most diverse humiliations instead of returning to her mother's house who loves her with all heart. Seray neglects her brother and while vehemently asserting that she wouldn't marry, she doesn't think twice about throwing herself at the rich guy (a gold-digging woman? That's what she looks like).
Cengiz is pathetic and regenerates from the nowhere on final (where is the punishment for so many crimes???), Atif and Seray's friends are as stupid as these, Rifat is a completely unbalanced boy, envious and unloved, Taner and Inci didn't have their deserved ending...
Anyway, this soap opera is very bad. Characters that are worthless, that don't pay for their crimes in the end, stupid young protagonists, unexplained stuff and hasty ending. Really good Turkish drama are Meryem and Fatmagül.
