Christmas Twister (2012 TV Movie)
3/10
Problem right out of the gate...
16 December 2022
I watched the opening scene and was at least intrigued to see how bad this could be. I knew INSTANTLY that I was in for a treat when the title came up...spelled "CHRISTAMS TWISTER." Seriously? The titles/credits editor MESSED UP THE TITLE?! It promised to go the limit, and it did! JUST WOW!

The graphics were not atrocious. However, the acting is so forced, with many of the character being wish I call "deliverish." They are simply SAYING their lines and not actually feeling any of them. As an actor myself, I like to support the lower-budget films; but there are times I put my face into my hands and just groan as I ask myself, "With WHOM do these people SLEEP to get these roles?...and where do I get in line?!"

Cora Unashamed (2000 TV Movie)
10/10
An amazing experience...

I was honored with being an extra in the town scene shot in Cambridge, Iowa. I was selected last minute to play the racist grocer and Debra Pratt was an incredible director to work with. Sadly, my close up scene was cut (I learned a year later when it aired. LOL Such is Hollywood.) CCH Pounder was incredible, I crept off to her trailer after being fitted for costume to thank her for a line that changed my life many years ago. She even took a photo of me on set with two other cast members. Pure class! Regina Taylor was amazing...I stood face to face with her and stared I'm her down (or rather, my character did.) This film opener my eyes to a stigma I had not even considered existed in the 193s, and it did it in such a way that EVERYBODY loves Cora! A definite MUST SEE!!!

Blame (IV) (2014)
10/10
Outstanding in every aspect...
10 December 2015
I saw this film at the Green Bay Film Festival and I cried openly as this story. It was my story back in 1985 and Alistair Sewell caught the absolute, exact emotion required for this film. Elen and Caitlin have provided a rock solid script and direction. I was able to thank Elen and Caitlin for such a true-to-life film; however, Alistair was not able to make the screening, to my disappointment. This young man has a terrific acting career ahead of him, and I cannot wait to see what comes from him next. This is an absolute must-see film, and I WILL be buying it when it is available for purchase. Find this film and know that what you are watching...happens. Lonnie C. Appleby Newton, IA
