This mini-series is a fabricated piece of garbage. Production values are high, but the plot and background stories are substandard. The historic inaccuracies are too many to list. I only have 1,00 words. But this series is basically a soap opera with a ship as the backdrop. It has very little to do with Titanic, and more to do with post Victorian romance. Interspersed between the romance are stories about labor disputes that are inaccurately portrayed using contemporary values. It is an insult to the victims of the Titanic and their memory. It is an insult to the viewer's intelligence. Time would be better spent watching Spartacus or some other historically inaccurate soap opera,
To say this movie is bad would be too kind. I watched it to see just how stupid and improbable it could get. And man did it get stupid. The movie was okay up until they fast forward ten years. The first question for me is why would they go after Darby for the tampering of the "lethal injection" of his partner? He already screwed him by making a deal that caused him to take the fall. Dumb. And why would Clyde wait until the day of execution to lead Darby into his trap? They arrest Clyde without any real cause. Throw him in prison even before he is charged with any crime. There were some good actors in the film. Unfortunately the script sucked and the director was a moron. And the fact that so many of you have rated this movie so high makes me worry about your intelligence. Which is ironic considering the movie is basically about a "mad" genius.
I watched the movie. Then I read this website about the movie. In the Goofs section I found this: "Incorrectly regarded as goofs: Everywhere the characters go there is electricity. While unmanned power stations and electric companies would quickly fall into disrepair, the events of the movie appear to be set only a few days after the outbreak. The power grids should be able to run at close to normal capacity for such a short period of time without any supervision or maintenance. While any areas of the grid that did go offline would not come back online by themselves, there's no real reason that there'd be a nationwide failure in only a handful of days."
These movies always do this. After everyone dies they think the lights will stay on. Stupid.
