I think this is a very memorable episode and a reminder of why I rarely take my two young daughters with me to get a takeaway.
The physical humour, character moments and music all work brilliantly in together as the sketch unfolds. I love that it starts low key and as more and more incidents happen the chaos just spirals towards a crescendo.
Although my girls have never treated me to this level of disaster, I have experienced their desire to play with random objects and inconvenient timings of toilet breaks ruin many a situation.
Comedy is in the eye of the beholder, but I find this one very funny and Bandit's response to the fortune cookie is pretty heartwarming.

I like the opening actions scenes with the horse, which have great moments of visual storytelling. It all leads to a horror sequence that is very well done.
The Eagle and the Sceptre puts much of screen time to into politics of Númenor and most of it is pretty good. Some of the scenes feel very GoT with its power plays and machinations of certain characters.
For me the strongest scenes involve Celebrimbor, Sauron and also the Dwarf characters. The intrigue about what will happen when the rings are used drives the plot well. I also love the performances of the Dwarf actors, particularly Owain Arthur who has great charisma.
For me the weakest scenes involve Isildur with Arondir and Bronwyn's family. I am not saying they are badly made in any way, they are just the least interesting characters to me so far. I keep interest due to the known backstory of the character Isildur.
As ever it looks incredibly good due to the cinematography, use of scenery, costuming and art design.
For me its a 7.5/10, but I round upwards.

Where the Stars are Strange is as beautiful and cinematic as all other visual depictions of Middle Earth and its characters. However, if you struggle with season long arcs that slow burn with build up to momentous events, you will probably find your patience wearing thin.
Personally I like all scenes but find some plot threads more interesting than others at this stage in the season. I think everything involving the elf and dwarf characters are the strongest for me.
I particularly like the interaction between Disa and the Durins, as these involve (by far) the most charismatic performers in the show. The more screen time Owain Arthur and. Sophia Nomvete have the better.
Morfydd Clark continue embody Galadriel perfectly and her scenes with Robert Aramayo and Benjamin Walker work very well.
I think the weakest moments, although still reasonably good, involve Gandalf and the Hobbits. Never thought I'd say that in a Tolkien related story!
