So i was introduced to this little gem way back in the 80's. We had a friend of the family who was always making tapes of movies for us. This is actually how i got introduced to horror. Its a bit of an adventure horror that really wont scar your kid. Too much anyway.
Bill Mahr shows up and does his thing. The guy has not changed in 20 years.
I love how its almost like an anthology of stories happening and the house is the Hub. All surrounding a crystal skull. The same kind of skull that was at every flea market i went to in the 90's. Right next to the Purba Dagger from so many many movies.
Its a great afternoon watch during a rainy day.

This one is entertaining? I guess?
So much wasted potential as usual with a remake. Odd casting and tent pole placement of celebs to sell a movie when they are barely in it.
Every single person in this cast felt like they were unsure if it was even worth doing this because they all knew how awesome the original is.
Paul Verhoeven made a masterpiece of satire and consumerism and this was just a mediocre action movie that really didn't make a lot of sense.
I live so many actors in this and i hated every single character.
Time shifts that make no sense to the continuity were probably the worst part.
I cannot recommend this one.
I can however recommend "Our Robocop Remake".
It's way more worth your time.
