I really enjoyed most everything that was negatively described about this film. You could tell it was a passion piece from the writer/director. It's fun, well shot, and I love the practical effects. I mostly loved the throwback look and feel of the space ships. Is this perfect? Definitely not. If you're looking for a well made LOW BUDGET sci-horror flick... this is it. It kinda has the look and feel of old Empire Pictures and Full Moon Entertainment to it. Anyways, 6/10 Stars
First of all, I love indie horror films. I don't remember how I stumbled upon this film but, I'm glad I did. Very good cast, very good look and feel, GREAT dialogue. The story isn't the most original story in the world but, there's a lot of clever one liners in it. The ending is kinda weak but, during the credits, there are more shots that keep it interesting. I had a lot of fun watching this. I won't spoil a thing but, I definitely recommend it. It's not the best indie horror film in the last 5 years but, there's a hell of a lot worse. 6/10
I don't agree with the negative reviews of this film. Some of which, were very contradictory. For a film made for children, this is very good and entertaining. This was NOT a high budget film so, expecting million dollar CGI or special effects is ludicrous. If you keep in mind the budget of the film, and the fact that it's a kid's science fiction film, it's a fun watch for anyone of any age. Due to its Canadian and Romanian look and feel, it reminds me of a really long episode of Goosebumps. I give it 8/10 for the reasons mentioned above.
