Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004)
Don't dodge this one!
Vince Vaughn at his absolute best. This film is totally hilarious. The jokes are superb, and they're played out with panache and style by the excellent ensemble cast, with great cameos, especially Jason Bateman's sports commentator 'Pepper' who is so good in tandem with his commentator buddy. David hasselhof is also very funny, but big ups to Ben Stiller, who really makes this such an amazing and memorable comedy. Definitely grab life by the balls and watch this one!!!
Wedding Crashers (2005)
Good laughts
The two leads, played by Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, who've done loads of great films together, team up again for this comedy set in the world of wedding crashing. What's that you say? Wedding crashing? Yip, these guys crash weddings in search of booze, women and laughs, and they normally find all of them. But things take an unexpected turn when OW is smitten with a young bride at one of the weddings they crash, who's just got married. And when they get invited back to the family estate to carry on the celebrations things get even crazier. From there on it's a battle of wills and wits, love or laughs, as VV tries to stop OW from ruining everything by falling in love. Outrageous laughs from this fun film.
Old School (2003)
Old School Laughs
When group of 30-somethings turn a neighborhood home into a frat house to party like it's 1999 - things start getting crazy and out of hand from the get go!!! Luke Wilson and Will Ferrell pair up (with the always-stellar Vince Vaughn) to lead a crazy cast of misfits through the fraternity rites of passage with hilarious results. In fact the whole cast is perfect, and there's a delightful Jeremy Piven cameo.
I only have good things to say about this film. This is prime Will Ferrell, one of his bets. His "Frank the tank" beer chugging scene is the ultimate party house scene - and there's a cool cameo from the smooth Snoop Dogg. Great soundtrack too. Good laughs, great fun, excellent comedy.
Van der Merwe (2017)
A good laugh
Very good light hearted entertainment for when you really need a good laugh (and I think we could all do with one now) We all enjoyed it and was perfect for putting a smile on all of our faces - with some good acting from top local actors like Ian Roberts (vans dad) and Rob van Vuuren with a hilarious performance as Van. Will watch again.
Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994)
Ace is ace!
From the moment the film starts with Ace, played by Jim Carrey you're in stitches... as he walks along kicking a box marked fragile! Throughout the film JC delivers a hilarious over the top performance that is brilliant and hilarious in equal measures. Had me laughing as much now as when I first saw it.
