The idea for this movie may see familiar, but that is what makes it work. You 'think' you know what is going to happen around every turn but you end up surprised many times. The fabric of the story gives such an interesting perspective to the power of a wayyy overzealous fan - and some do's and don't for everyone! As an indie film, it has a visceral and sort of raw feel that seems to bring it even closer to the viewer. Take an hour and a half, and have fun enjoying this rollercoaster of a story!!
From the opening scenes, I could tell Cherokee Creek was heading in some interesting directions. It is such a fun, exciting balance of comedy, horror, suspense... just everything all wrapped into one movie and done very well at that!
The cast will remind almost any guy of a group they probably hung around with at some point in their lives, the way they banter, argue, carry on and try to one-up each other. Boys will be boys, lol.
The production quality was very good too, great sound and pacing and the music was stand out too!
Well worth every penny to rent or buy! If you want to have fun yelling at the screen and enjoy something refreshing, then watch this tonight!

For an indie project, the sheer scope of this project is impressive. A really big cast, tricky locations and lots of things that might be missed on the first watch but if you look closely, the details and subtlety is there. This is not some run-of-the-mill off-the-rack slasher film. Rather, it has a brooding pace and you actually start to feel as vulnerable as the unfortunate party goers. There is also some subtle societal messages here so overall it is a substantial film from Loren Lepre, who I expect to see even greater things to come from!
