Had a good time watching this indie horror. It wasn't perfect, but had a charming quality to it. You can tell everyone cared while making it. The twist was cool; and the acting was decent. A good movie to have a few drinks and enjoy with friends.
I've been on an indie movie kick lately, and found this one on Amazon Prime. The reviews seemed good so I gave it a chance... and it was okay. Not great, but not terrible. Interesting opening, but I feel like the director committed a little too hard to making the opening sketches look bad on purpose. It's clear that was the goal, but the line between cringe and funny observations was starting to blur by the end of the opening.
The acting surprised me, most low budget movies you get to enjoy watching a few terrible performances, but I believed everyone as their characters.
The pacing was a little odd, too. Felt like the film was ramping up to something, and then bam. A 12 minute therapy scene in the middle. Well shot and executed, but an odd choice to slow things down that much just as the plot was speeding up.
I had a few laughs, and was surprised by the ending; but I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a totally polished, big budget movie. Charming might be the right word, or quirky. If that sounds like something you'd like, check it out.

I don't normally finish watching a movie and exclaim, "wow". But I did with this one. Both of the leads glide effortlessly through this one; in the best way possible. Talk about actors fully being the characters. The directing was super interesting, too. Sometimes I feel like indie movies feel the need to go weird with how they shoot things, just for the sake of being weird and quirky; but this felt like a director using style to help complement the story.
The only negatives about this film are how quickly they solve the whole (trying to keep this spoiler free) "issue" in the end. Couldn't tell if they were using cliche as a troupe or if the writer just used it as a place holder and forgot to find something interesting to end the film; but either way; the journey was very much worth watching this film.
