The Big Country (1958)
Maybe the best Western movie ever!
I was blown away with this movie. I think it is the best western ever and maybe one of the best movies of any kind I have seen. The acting was amazing especially by Burl Ives and Gregory Peck. Even Chuck Conners was at his best. But the scenery and sets they built and locations were also as good as it gets. The character that Gregory Peck plays is so unique and unpredictable and the message you are left with after watching him throughout the movie is good advise for most conflict. Charleton Heston is usually the main star in movies of this era he acts in, but he is a supporting actor in this movie and is super. All the other actors bri g their "A" game and you need to watch this movie.
The Good Doctor (2017)
Went bad fast
Season one was excellent. Season two started off good and then sucked halfway through. All the characters focus changed and it became a boring personal relationship type show instead of the great medical drama.
The Last Dance (2020)
Best Doc Ever!
As a lifelong sports nut and a guy who has made short and two hour documentaries-this is the best documentary I have ever seen. Unbelievable editing and putting together footage and interviews -not just Michael Jordan but too many NBA players, coaches, abs others to count.
Lou Grant (1977)
Best show ever
I am in my late 60's and have watched a whole lot of tv shows since the 1950's. In my opinion the Lou Grant show is the best tv show ever made. I place The Walton's a close 2nd. The Rockford Files 3rd. I am now watching the Lou Grant show again and I find it as compelling now in 2020 as back when it ran originally.
Emma Smith: My Story (2008)
Very well done
The filing locations were excellent. The acting was way better than I thought it would be. But the script was surprisingly good. Best of all it is all true history of one of American history's greatest periods.
Everwood (2002)
An underrated tv series
The characters are interesting, and draw you in from the first episode. Well written and very clever humors at times. Quite relaxing and worth watching.
