I took my teenage son and grandparents because it was advertised as a COMEDY. Nope, it was not. It was so slow and so boring, my grandma actually fell asleep and my teenager was so disappointed and disgusted he went and sat in the lobby halfway through. Why in the world did they advertise this as a comedy????

There was no action. All they did was talk, talk, talk, every scene, and the dialogue was not funny and not entertaining. I still don't understand what the premise of this movie actually was nor do I understand the non ending, it did end very abruptly.

So I would NOT recommend this to anyone. Mila Kunis' character was supposed to be in her 30's I believe but this whole Diddy thing affecting her husband has done a number on her looks. She looked old, tired and unwell and probably didn't even want to be in this.

We don't go to the movies often anymore because it's gotten so expensive, a movie is actually a treat now, and I'm so disappointed we went to this one and wasted the treat.

It was entertaining, I'll give it that. The cgi was pretty good, and the monsters were cool looking. It just lacked the depth the first one had. I think the main issue for me is that I do not like Zachary Levi in that role. He's miscast, and I don't think they should move forward with HIM in that role. If James Gunn is recasting most of them to skew younger, I think Asher Angel who plays the younger Billy is getting old enough to take on the adult version. He just fits better and is younger so can grow in the role. The kids who are in the younger roles are good, but I don't like most of the adult versions, either. It will be interesting to see what is going to happen with the new Gods and Monsters era starting in a couple years.
