I would have been content to have one solid, well-paced and well-acted season of this if not for all the cliffhangers in the finale! It was clear they planned for the series to go on longer, and while many important plotlines and mysteries were wrapped up at the end, I would have loved to see where else it could go. Actors did a great job all across the board, but special props to Andrew McCarthy, who definitely played the most interesting character on the show.
In summary: this great show not only has a mystery that keeps you guessing at every turn, but also a strong emotional story that pulls you in and makes you care for the characters and their struggles. Truly a shame that it was cancelled.

I just happened to check out the show's IMDB page after watching this episode and was surprised by all the negative reviews. It seems the plot and actions of the main characters were considered unrealistic/stupid, but I think the show so far has very clearly established that this Detective is far from a conventional, by-the-books type of guy. Despite his questionable decisions, I thought that from an emotional standpoint, his actions are quite believable and consistent with his character.
Fingers crossed for the last two episodes.
