Over the Moon in Love (2019 TV Movie)
1/10
Waste of time
15 November 2020
I tried to give this movie a chance. But I had to change the channel. Brooklyn is the dumbest, most irritating character I've seen in a movie who's supposed to be the protagonist. She's supposed to be a professional woman but yet she acted like an immature middle schooler. The flashback scene to their teenage year was so cringeworthy. I assume that she and Devin end up together happily in the end because it's Hallmark but I wish it'd end with Devin finding a better person.

Christmas with the Darlings (2020 TV Movie)
10/10
Love this movie. Will definitely rewatch

Warning: Spoilers
This is fast becoming one of my favorites hallmark movies. It's one of those movies that gives you all the feels. The kids are adorable. Katrina Law and Carlo Marks have great chemistry. Max's awkwardness with the kids, attempting too hard at times seem realistic in the situation. Jessica almost seems to be a little too perfect in everything she does. But her drive to succeed is understandable considering she had to overcome such a loss at a young age.

Love that Charles isn't a stereotypical cartoonish businessman. He's just overly pragmatic and admittedly have blinders on when it comes to realizing Max's ability and desire to be more involved with the family business. But it's apparent he loves his nieces and nephew, and he's a good boss who recognizes and appreciates Jessica to the point that he's encouraging her to do family law instead of staying in his company since he realized that's what she really wants to do.

One of the best scene that I really love is when Jessica reminded Charles that a woman can have a career and still take care of kids. As far as Max and Jessica's relationship goes, the relationship growth feels organic, and Max confession of his feelings comes across as sincere and heartfelt. Also love that Hallmark is getting more inclusive in showing other types of relationships. Even though not much time is dedicated to Zoe's relationship with Kate, it just makes the story seem more realistic to real life to show LGBTQ people just as a part of our everyday lives.

Every Day Is Christmas (2018 TV Movie)
3/10
Interesting twist, but poor acting ruins the movie
18 October 2019
I really wanted to love this movie. The plot sounded like it'd be a refreshing twist to the original Dickens' story. But Toni Braxton is terrible in this movie. I'm a fan of her as a singer, but honestly after this movie, I'll avoid any other movies that she acts in. Instead of a feel good Christmas movie, I was just annoyed and irritated that I wasted my time watching this.

Love and Sunshine (2019 TV Movie)
10/10
Love it
6 October 2019
Like most Hallmark movies, it follows a formula. And admittedly, there are incorrect/inconsistent details in the movie like Army uniform and Air Force bus and nobody in uniform wearing covers while outside? But the story is sweet, and doesn't require much suspension of disbelief. The leads have good chemistry. It's so refreshing to not have contrived drama keeping them apart and the evolution of their relationship feel natural. Not to mention the dog, Sunshine fits her name.
