REALLY good show! Even overlooked it myself at first. Wanted to see it when it first came out, but it was on opposite one of my faves. Now, I usually watch this. If I can't catch it, I make SURE to dvr it!!!! All of the stories and actors are great in it! I have always been a fan of Christian Slater, and the other actor are up to his caliber. Elisha Cuthbert is a new and welcome addition! The story lines are very different from all the other detective shows. Instead of focusing on the criminal, this show focuses on the victim. It's all about identifying the "John Does" and "Jane Does" of this country. It focuses on putting some closure for some families out there. How many families a year have loved ones missing out there, when there are plenty of "Does" in our morgues and cemeteries? A much welcome and fresh new take on the "detective" genre. To the network,PLEASE keep it on the air!
I loved the movie! To those "critics" that have said that Tom Hanks gave a "wooden" performance....Did they even read the book?!?!? He's playing a professor, his character is not supposed to be "lively", or "animated" or whatever. Anyway, it was a very good movie. I read the book, have seen the movie, and loved them both. Neither of my two teenage sons have read the book, and they loved the movie as well. Also, they had no problem following the movie; which proves to me that reading the book is not necessary. The movie does a great job of explaining and "illustrating" whatever background is necessary and important to the story. Awesome book, awesome movie!
