The story of Beti No.1 deals with how our society has given women a very inferior position. How a daughter is still looked down upon by many even in today's time in India. How people still desire sons over daughters in our society. It is the story of Durga Devi (Aruna Irani) whose hen-pecked husband Dashrath Bhatnagar is a gharjamai. The couple has three sons, Ram (Ashok Saraf), Laxman (Laxmikant Berde) and Bharat (Govinda). Other main characters of the movie Priya (Rambha) wife of Bharat, Mulayam Chand ( Jhonny lever) and his wife Hema. Though the story is mediocre, acting by Prem Chopra, Aruna Irani, Govinda and Jhonny lever is something to watch out for. Music is mediocre and often disturbs the smooth flow of the story. Watch this movie only if you have ample of spare time and love for old Bollywood style movies.
Sham Ghansham is a typical 90s bollywood movie. If you love watching old bollywood movies then you'll love it especially if you are a 90s kid. Only major drawback of this movie is it's mediocre music, unbearable songs seep into the story out of nowhere but thankfully in today's ott era you can easily skip them. Actresses in the movie hardly add anything to the story, Actors are good but dialogues are pretty mediocre. This movie has a print of Karan Arjun. This movie has no sexual content apart from a mild swimming pool scene where pooja batra is wearing not too revealing clothes though. You can watch this movie with your family comfortably. All in all a good watch for 90s Bollywood fans.
