IMDB puts this as a horror and drama, but I would just go with horror. Anthony White directed and produced it, and Steven Cromwell who is one of the producers also acts in the film, so it's a low budget film. It was also filmed in Dublin and County Meath in Ireland, so the scenes outside are nice. The beginning bit, without giving anything away, was pretty gruesome for the two characters, and this is before the credits even kick in.
Love the fact when they walk into a local pub, as in very local, everything stops and it's silent. Been to a few myself like that, it can be a bit daunting.
Some special effects are lacking, at one point someone had died, we saw some blood, camera started moving to where it was coming from, then darted to the side of the body, without seeing the actual wound.
Music is good, but you can tell it is on the very low budget side, think it was 800 Euros. There is a scene at a house that before I knew how much it cost, you could just tell.
Ending was good, and they felt like real people, as in the actors. Anyone that has gone camping, or been to a festival or even just messed around with your friends, is that kind of feeling.

Good film, states its John Carradine's favourite role. I've not seen any other films with him in, least not that I recall. But in this he is very good. It's set in France, but they all speak perfect English.
The puppet show is awesome, forget the Punch and Judy stuff, this was 1000 times better. Each character had its own clothes, and was singing opera style at times. And the set they were on was like watching a film within a film.
The music is a little weird, as it seems to be like the composer just put four different genres of film music on a loop. For instance, there is one point where John is talking to a musician about some money, and its romantic, then sad, then action, then western, then sad, then romantic. Never seemed to make sense at all, for the scenes it was used in, and it didn't help the film at all. Plus it was on constantly, it never stopped.

This is a great film. I know a few people had issues with how the story played out, but for me, I enjoyed it a lot. At the start, you partially get to know the main characters as they're sitting having a few beers after a good salvage, and along come our mystery man with a deal that is so good it can't be true.
Wait, didn't I get told never to trust in way out things that make me loads of money for doing basic work?
Anyway, we get to the ship (not giving anything away as it's on a cruise liner and that is what the description says) and that is where everything notches up a gear.
The little girl that is there tells the story very well, and the start of the film and again when it's shown later on, really drew me in. The music was very good for the main scenes, as well as other parts of the film.
Sure, there are some bits you go 'Really? Yeah right' but overall, it's an enjoyable ghost story.
